I said Jesus showed the woman grace make of it what you will.
Jesus was showing her and her accusers that the steps of the law should be followed as instructed, and not some mock trial as they were doing.

That right there is the only reason she could not be legally condemned. Had He agreed with her stoning, He would have gone back on what He said in Matthew 5 by breaking Exo 20:10.

Heb 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Heb 10:9

He hadn't taken away the first yet.

Heb 9:16-17

The incident with the woman was still 100% on Old Testament ground with the Law as fully in force as it was under Moses.

Sure HE did as per scripture ! You know the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. ALL OT and NT folks that are saved were and are saved by the D.B.R. of Jesus for those that place their faith in Him.

THe LAW NEVER saved anyone !

He established the second when He walked out of the tomb alive.

The grave could not hold Him and He defeated death.

The fact is the woman was caught committing adultery...

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.

Why are you claiming that Jesus would have transgressed the law?

Hebrews was written after the Lord Jesus Christ's DBR.

The incident of the adulterous woman was before the Lord Jesus Christ's DBR.
During Christ's earthly ministry, He was under the law. (Gal 4:4)

Jesus fulfilled the LAW and established GRACE . Something (grace) some folks want to turn into LAW.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Remember when Jesus said a bill of divorcement under the law of Moses was NOT God's intention, but He ( God ) allowed it because of the hardness of man's heart ?

The Christians brought out of Egypt were given the law by Christ through Moses.

The law given by Moses was given to him on Mt. Sinai by Christ.

Correct and the LAW was fulfilled by Jesus who lived a sinless life and paid for our sin by His death @ Calvary;otherwise, no would could be saved.

NO ONE has ever been saved by the LAW and no one will ever be saved by trying to keep the LAW.
