I was helping out a friend with his 6th grade AP science class. We had a project wherein students form teams and design a space vehicle to visit Mars. The teams had engineers, life support specialists, scientists, etc.

Starting out, we had each specialty at tables, working out their ideas. I was listening to life support. (remember 11 years old)

"We'll use up all the oxygen."

"But we can recycle it to make oxygen again."

A girl asked, "But what about water?"

The table got quiet. Everyone looked at each other. Then...

"EWWWWWWWW!"

I'm thankful for the wonderful morning I spent at church today. Bible study was great and the sermon really had the congregation mesmerized. Just felt the presence of the Holy Spirit making us all aware the God is everything ... the great I AM that I AM. I AM the LORD; I AM the Lamb; I AM the Door; I AM the Shepherd; I AM the Way; I AM the LIGHT; I AM the WORD who was with God and was God; I AM the Promised Son of God; I AM one with the Father; I AM the Savior (Isaiah 43:11).

I am grateful for my nephew Jordan, and the short time we shared together, he always made me smile. He passed away last night at the ripe old age of 24. The combination of hepatitis and heart complications.

Sorry to hear that CW. Wish I had some words to comfort you but at this time I don't. I had a tough couple of days too but nothing like yours.

God Bless and comfort you.

Today, as well as every day, I am grateful for ...

My two beautiful, healthy children who I am fortunate enough to see or talk to every day...

My gone but never forgotten daughter who I was blessed enough to have in my life for 23 years ...

My grandson and my mother, who I consider my best friend ...

My three little, but fierce, protective and loyal chihuahuas ...

My home, health and all of my belongings ...

And lastly ... the awesome heating system and all the warm blankets in my home that keep me warm and comfortable during the evil winter months ...

Today I am grateful for the great horned owl, who lives across the street. Most nights, I go to sleep, listening to him.

And this weekend, it turns out he has a girlfriend.

My dad had a very serious heart attack this weekend. After the angiogram the doctor said he's lucky to be alive. He's still in the hospital and received a shiny new stent today but he's doing very well!!
