Since Acts 2:41 does not use the word "water" regarding baptism, the reference to baptism is not referring to "water baptism".

What does the context tell us about what kind of baptism is being referred to? Acts 2:38 "be baptized... in the name of Jesus Christ"

the name of Jesus Christ is far more powerful, cleansing, empowering than any amount of H2O could ever be.

Hi and your question , is why the book of Acts and BAPTISM / BAPTIZO is mhard for many to explain !!

Read Acts 3:38 and 41 can be explained by what is happenning in Acts 10:47 and 48 !!

Then it brings up the act itself , HOW were they baptized ??

By Sprinking is HOW it was done !!

We also see that Acts 2:38 , WILL RECEIVE is in the Greek FUTURE TENSE , WHY ?

Because Israel will be set aside in less than , about 40 years !!

Then God has Paul oreach a new message called the MYSTERY , in Rom 16:25 and 26 and also in Col 1:25 and 26 !!
After Rom 11:25 , then Israel with be saved in Rom 11:26 and then Mark 16:15-18 will begin !!

Jerry did you read #436?

Your treatment of Rom 1:16 into saying it is two gospels is a horrible piece of work. It is specifically saying the one gospel was preached to both, one group and then the other. Shame on you.

I believe that baptism is the same one mentioned here:

"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God"
(Acts 8:36-37).

Jerry would chew you up and spit you out in a debate.

As IP pointed out how is it Jerry , D.T.S., and YOU missed this ?

Act 2:23
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

And to you, this is a pronouncement of "good news"?

WE know that the cross it good news because God revealed it TO and THROUGH Paul.

Peter is giving a MURDER INDICTMENT.

Did you notice the word "crucify" ? NO Crucifixion= no salvation !

It was the fulfillment of prophecy as you know one of many that those in MAD deny exist:

Isa 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

There is it again the ONE Gospel.and with his stripes we are healed

You START with "only one good news" and then FORCE (or try to force) the Bible to confirm your false assumption.

There are MANY good news' in the Bible.
