It should give the let's-wait-it-out-and get-herd-immunity crowd pause, but it doesn't.
Do you deny both sides have failed to quote good science? If you catch the flu twice, that implies vaccines are useless for immunity. And it means we never have immunity to diseases in a biological way. Illness is prevented in other ways which are better.

How many cures for COVID19 will we need for this to be over? The organism that produces virus has not been isolated but it is as if "detected" with a lung antibody. Thus the USA is having a panic on something which may not be the cause of all forms of SARS.

I forgot to mention how viruses multiply in fungal and bacterial cells, but cause cancer in bodily cells; or how if you have any veneral disease you can test positive for the Herpes antibody.

Vaccines in general work. Remember smallpox? Polio?
So why all this skepticism regarding Covid vaccines?

If covid deaths are preventable then should we destroy the economy and tens of millions of American lives in order to cut down on the number of deaths? If so, then why are we doing nothing to cut down on the numbers of other preventable deaths, caused by smoking, drinking, immoral sex, and the like?

An estimated 95,000 people (approximately 68,000 men and 27,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually,15 making alcohol the third-leading preventable cause of death in the United States. The first is tobacco, and the second is poor diet and physical inactivity.16

The numbers of covid deaths were falling before vaccines came out. That proves the falling death count was not due to the vaccines.

And aspirin cannot stop people from dying by the hundreds of thousands each year in preventable deaths from the effects of smoking and drinking.
Therefore- what? We should let people die by the hundreds of thousands from all preventable deaths?

It is obvious the vaccines are not 100% safe and effective, but at least the majority of those taking the vaccine don't get sick, just like the majority of those who do not take the vaccine don't get sick.
Wow, what a misleading statement. And perhaps not even true in even in its presently misleading form

What you are conveniently hiding is, of course, this: While it may well be true that more than 50% of those who do NOT take the vaccine will not get sick, far more of the unvaccinated will get sick. You are trying to gloss over the fact that your claim would be true in the following hypothetical situation:

- 49% of people who are not vaccinated get sick, but only 1% of those who are vaccinated will get sick.

In both cases, the majority of people do not get sick and your statement is, as worded, correct. But, of course, what you write is very misleading.

And, given enough time, your turn (as an unvaccinated person) to get infected will likely come eventually. Think about it - there is this exceedingly contagious virus still around. As the months pass, it will likely find you and infect you. This is not my opinion, it is the opinion of an infectious disease expert who asserts that most unvaccinated people will eventually get covid.

No. Use common sense to protect from illnesses but do not destroy the planet in an effort to stamp out a disease that will never be stamped out by human efforts using masks that don't work and shutdowns that reduce access to healthcare and everything else because of economic depression.

I already got covid and recovered. Hank Aaron did not get covid until he took the vaccine and died.
