Marijuana legalization: LESS government?

I'll say it. I have my medical marijuana card in the state of CO. I use it. What do you want to know? I'll start with this. . .
1. I have a management job at a hospital. I started there as a temp and worked my way up. I have no degree, just a good work ethic.
2. I don't use it anywhere other than my house (and sometimes Red Rocks).
3. I have two children that have never been exposed to it by me. I keep it locked up and safe. I vaporize it so there is no second hand smoke floating around the house either. Unfortunately I haven't been able to protect them from the more harmful drug that kids are exposed to and often battle addiction to. . . Sugar.
4. I don't drive high.
5. I graduated high school in 2001 as a stoner. 3.8 GPA.
6. I'm not a hippie. Though they did make some good music.
7. I work out and am physically fit. I work out at least 6 days a week.
8. I have an incredible memory.
9. I just had my annual biometric screening and am as healthy as a man can be (other than my IBS and muscle spasms).
10. Many if not most of the people I know do it recreationally too. You wouldn't be able to pick them out in a crowd.
11. I do have one dirty hippie friend who, ironically, doesn't smoke pot.
12. It has never been a gateway drug, as it is (or was) the only illegal drug I have ever tried.
13. I am a libertarian that leans conservative on welfare and economic issues and liberal on many social issues.
14. I am also a professional musician in a popular local band that shall remain nameless in this forum and I NEVER use marijuana before I go on stage. But I do throw a beer or 3 back on show nights. Other than that I don't drink much either.
15. My marriage is as stable as can be and I'm at every one of my children's school functions, sports games, etc. . . I got married at 19 to my high school sweetheart.
I just wanted to move past the stereotypes. . .
What else can this stoner tell you?

Does your company have a no drug use policy? If so, why have you lied to them?

If your children needed their daddy in an emergency, i.e. one was choking and you had to give him the heimlich manuever, etc., or if you had to drive them to a medical facility, would you have a clear enough head to do so?

I'm not going to get into a line by line conversation here. I have better things to do. My point is that I am a regular guy who responsibly uses something that helps me. You ask about my ability to take care of my kids. My wife and I certainly think things through just like any parent that takes prescription narcotics would. I also want to make clear I don't use it all the time. It's not an everyday thing.
My main focus here is that most people who use it are like me. They are regular people who choose to use this with common sense attached. There are idiots out there too, but those people are idiots regardless of legalization.
It's been legal for a year and society is no different.

I asked current dope smokers to come forward, you did, and I appreciate that. When you come forward and make the statements that you did, naturally I have questions.
There are reasons I asked those questions, one being that most businesses have a no drug policy for their employees.
You are aware that there is a high rate of injury and absenteeism amongst dope smokers aren't you shag?

Most businesses have some sort of an attendance policy. Also most businesses do not allow workers to be intoxicated on the job. Most places that have these policies, enforce them (very much unlike my former employer). No reason why legalizing marijuana would change that. If I can get fired for being drunk on the job, why would I not get fired for being high on the job?

My employer said that they will honor the legalization unless there is substantial evidence that someone shows up to work intoxicated. Just like alcohol. They do not get involved in what we do outside of work, as they shouldn't. They handle it case by case.
I worked with a lady that got hurt and missed time about once a month. There was another lady before her that also got hurt many times too and a few other ladies that called in sick a lot. Maybe being a lady in the workplace should be banned too? I'm sure they get hurt more often in my line of work.
But you were employed by that company prior to the legalization of marijuana. Did you tell them upon your employment that you were a dope smoker?
(This is how dope smokers think: they'll make ridiculous analogies to defend their first love: dope).

It's a fact. More women have got hurt than "dope smokers" at my job.
