President Trump has a lot on his plate at this moment in time. He has to make life and death decisions about, what to do about NK, how to cope with Democrat and Republican obstructionists, the constant attacks from the media/press, and the onslaught of demonic forces that desire to bring his administration down. All the forces of evil are at work behind the scenes to try and destroy the Will of God.

I'm interested in news as much as the next person I guess but (and this comes from the bonehead who starts lots of sociopolitical threads) as time goes on I'm more suspecting there's a point where it is not profitable in the walk of a believer and should just be tuned out lest our attentions and affections become entangled in this passing world's affairs, which are going to take their predetermined path to the Fire no matter what we know or don't know.

Could you explain further? I'm not quite certain what you're trying to share? I believe there's a spiritual connection involved with the leadership of our Nation and the Will of God for this time in history.

Evidently you, as many others, have not been taught or learned the rightly divided word of truth regarding this age of grace and how it ends (I Thessalonians 4:13-18 sums it up nicely) and the events that follow which include what is written in the book of Revelation and other places.
Believers in this age of grace will not have to endure the wrath for we are saved from the wrath to come. Romans 5:9, I Thessalonians 1:10
We will not be subject to the wrath for Jesus Christ saved us from our sins and that includes the wrath.
We are justified and made righteous, there is no reason for God to expose us to the wrath.

All I meant was, for me, giving too much attention to things of the world draws my attention from where it should be -- on Christ. "How much" is for each person to determine but there's no end to bad news that can suck me right in and not let go and I'm very near my limit again (I've been here before and it never pays off). Again, I speak only for and about myself.

PJ, there is no front line down here. We (myself very much included) conduct ourselves as if there is, but Paul says nope. At best we're seeing (and on TOL, arguing with) simple pawns on the board. I keep forgetting that. I won't go as far as to say it's a handy distraction from Satan, but I won't say it ain't either.

I used to be infatuated from the late seventies into the nineties with prophecy and followed the latest news from various authors about the end of the world and the rapture, then I woke up, when you do all this fear porn from this worlds governing rulers will be humorous to you because it just doesn't matter. nor does it effect the Kingdom of God within us Luke 17:20-21, take no thought for tomorrow Matt 6:25 6:34, wake up to the gordian knot you have tied, of the mystery you believe concerning Christ within, and then look for a 2nd coming kinda double minded there PJ! 2Cor 3:6 is another mystery you haven't solved, along with Matt 11:11.
China is saying if the U.S. decides on a preemptive attack on NK, they will stop us.

Yeah, I found that interesting. I guess they believed Trump was serious. They also said they'd stay out of it if N. Korea attacked us.

Yes, there are some who will be kept from the tribulation. Evidently, you are one of those. So I'm not saying you are wrong about this. What you don't know though, is that the Lord God has already fulfilled much of what is written in Revelation already. Thanks for understanding, if you do.
