Do some Republican candidates need to drop out?

I sometimes feel most of the candidates running for president would, if “necessary” put self over country

The only ones I tend to trust not to do that are Cruz, Fiorina, Huckabee (and maybe Carson)

It seems at some point in the near future, the candidates who are further behind in the polls (not that polls are totally reliable; they’re not), even if I like those candidates, should drop out and put their support behind one candidate

65% or more of Rs are not in favor of the front-runner, which obviously means most of them (us) want someone else.

Though I like all the aforementioned candidates (and some not mentioned), I say the Party should get behind one person to go against Trump.

Maybe after Iowa?

I will keep my preference as to whom that one person should be to myself at this point, but really, it would be so nice to have 2 or 3 candidates

What happened in the last couple elections? I didn’t follow those very well

Cruz has been called the most conservative candidate, so he is the one i am most enthused about

He has proven to the world that he does not go by Washington's motto: go along to get along

you dont go along to get along when truth and justice and the American way are in jeopardy (which is putting things mildly)

i like that he admits he doesn't know everything and when he sees he is possibly lacking in knowledge, he goes about to learn what he doesn't know

some people in the news lately act like they would rather die and go to.. some not nice place before they admit they don't really know much about some given topic

but still, i am voting for the most conservative and most trustworthy candidate, the one who dislikes Washington the most and that looks like Cruz

There's something about Donald Trump that has the business as usual RINOs running scared (Lindsey Graham stated that Barack Obama is better than Trump). While I'm a Ted Cruz man (I've exposed Ben Carson for his support of homosexuality, which doesn't seem to bother ok doser at all), Trump intrigues me.

Do you find his interpretation of scripture to be in line with what you believe?

I'm sure Carson is smart. But being smart in one field of study doesn't mean someone is smart in every field of study. It's no doubt Carson is a marvelous surgeon. But I wouldn't vote for him for President. He's said some bizarre stuff and he's horribly unprepared to be president.

We already have a president who has zero experience in politics and it shows.

I want to look up his speeches before he decided to be a candidate (Carson, that is). Wasn't he a speaker before?

i can't believe one person would consider voting for her. Unbelievable! The only ones who consider Clinton are those who dont follow the news, those who sit around in their spare time watching stupid sit coms where everyone is fornicating and committing adultery and etc (I assume that is what TV is still about, dont watch it other than news)

i dont know; i think so. But once i found a truly conservative candidate who hates WA, i gave up investigating the others.

It seems Cruz is--well, i want to say Trump Lite

And yet that seems to be rather insulting to Cruz. I agree w/ a lot of what Trump says, but he is--oh, heck, i don't even know where to begin :shocked:

To add to this, most of what the president does is compromise in regards to passing legislation through Congress, anyway.

the cbc doesn't cover american politics very much
