Cut straight... as in removing the fat from a piece of meat.
Where as you seem to have gotten caught up into all the fat and have had to divide it up to make sense of it...

Paul baptized believers on his 3rd journey. Even after they had already been baptized.
Acts 19:1 It happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples. 2He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
