Complete border meltdown

My bad ... I have once again been lured into attempting to communicate with a troll.

Translation: fzappa just saw a whole lot of facts for the first time. If you don't know what you're talking about, you're taking a knife to a gunfight. Next time, do a little research.

Or, if you still think you're right, get come facts together and present a cogent argument. Getting angry and calling names will just convince everyone that you don't know what you're talking about.

Maybe one day I will learn better ...

Doubtful:

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias wherein unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand; one is always well advised to follow the money when trying to understand the intent of those spending it ... especially when it yours and not theirs ...

IMMIGRATION:

The bill only funds the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees most immigration policy, until February. But negotiators gave new money for immigration programs at other federal agencies. There's $948 million for the Department of Health and Human Service's unaccompanied children program -- an $80 million increase. The program provides health and education services to the young migrants. The department also gets $14 million to help school districts absorbing new immigrant students. And the State Department would get $260 million to assist Central American countries from where of the immigrant children are coming.

Probably seemed like a good idea to Bush, whose heart was usually in the right place, but whose brain was AWOL as often as he was.

In fact, desperate Central American parents are exploiting separate legal loopholes in American border security passed before Obama took office.

Unaccompanied minors fall under the bipartisan law, William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, which passed the House and Senate unanimously and was signed into law by President George W. Bush.

That law says the children cannot be sent back. They must instead be held humanely by the Department of Health and Human Services until the courts release them to a “suitable family member” in this country.

Unintended consequences, you know. Remember what I said about doing your homework? It matters.

Remember what I said about being an idiot ... the consequences were not unintended. Even a well intended idiot gets one right every now and then. This thing has been going the same direction administration after administration and that is not an accident.

Well-intentioned. And what does it have to do with Obama . increasing border enforcement?

Obama is a puppet just like most every president since Jackson. You referenced Disraeli ... he had some interesting and pertinent observations concerning public leaders.

Obama is a puppet just like most every president since Jackson.

So these invisible puppet masters told Bush ignore border security, and told Obama to tighten it up? How does that work?

You referenced Disraeli ... he had some interesting and pertinent observations concerning public leaders.

Not so much on the state of US border security though.

'The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.'
Benjamin Disraeli 1884.

If you think Bush or Obama were doing anything other than reading a script you are mistaken.

That's because the world is being run the same way now, as it was in 1884?

If you think Bush or Obama were doing anything other than reading a script you are mistaken.

So, the script called for Bush to ignore the border problem, and for Obama to focus on it? Sounds more than a little paranoid, fzap.

Yep, pretty much. They taught their grand kids well.

These folks have been creating problems to justify their solutions for quite some time.

Obama knows he has no future after his presidency ends. He has no way of making a living.

Therefore, I believe he plans to open a chain of Mexican restaurants in southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas

is this supposed to be comedy?

don't get it

giving the gov more $$ is ALWAYS a LOSER idea

We should be trying to make it smaller, not bigger.

if u compare private sector companies to gov agencies...

there's no comparison. The gov can't do much of anything right
