a whore for the republican party

It is an interesting turn I agree, especially since Trump (says) he wants to increase ethanol subsidies which is very un-conservative & Obama-esk, in fact all subsidies of this loser of a product should be lifted and if it cannot survive then it wasn't meant to. It is a crappy fuel source, destroys your engine, raises the food prices, it has no place as a fuel additive or replacement so let the industry sink or swim on it's own. The point is that Palin has always put herself out there as a conservative and Trump has really not proven that he is one on most fronts but, Trump is definitely not an establishment candidate and maybe that is what Palin is endorsing.
I imagine you and I wouldn't agree on much regarding energy and the environment but I'm with you on the ethanol. At least ethanol from food sources.

You're probably right that Palin mostly likes the anti-establishment, "tell it like it is" side of Trump, but wouldn't that also exist for Cruz? Maybe she just thinks Trump has a way of winning and Cruz doesn't.

here is the latest poll
so
what is wrong with this picture?

1197 voters
689 republican
472 democratic
1161 total
36 not voting
97 percent voting

they start with registered voters
and
that is good
but
then they ask them
if
they are going to vote in the primary
and
which primary

guess what?

they are predicting a 97% voter turnout in the primary
duh?
that doesn't even happen in the general election

that's not all

new hampshire is not a red state
so
you don't get that many more republicans voting in the primary

and you believe the polls?

Palin is now fundraising based on her endorsing Trump. maybe that's why she chose Trump, might have more money in it for herself :plain:

I imagine you and I wouldn't agree on much regarding energy and the environment but I'm with you on the ethanol. At least ethanol from food sources.

My biggest rub with it other than it is a substandard fuel source is the fact that the constitution does not give the federal government the right to push any fuel source over another upon the people and it surely doesn't have the right to prop it up (subsidize it) with federal (my/our) money. That goes for Ethanol or Crude, these business' have the right to exist and flourish as the buying market demands without federal interference. I am ready to see the federal government juggernaut shrink drastically and this is just one example of where the government does not belong.

You're probably right that Palin mostly likes the anti-establishment, "tell it like it is" side of Trump, but wouldn't that also exist for Cruz? Maybe she just thinks Trump has a way of winning and Cruz doesn't.

The whole Palin thing is very perplexing, I am waiting to see what her angle is because it is not plainly apparent at this point.

Hot in Iowa
Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.

When I first heard that Trump had a special guest” and endorser at his Ames, Iowa, rally tonight, I thought: maybe Jeff Sessions. It turns out to be someone far more consequential in evangelical and Tea Party circles–and therefore in Iowa politics–Sarah Palin. When I read the disparaging remarks of Cruz’s campaign manager, I thought: poor guy: he’s made a mistake. It turns out he’s made a big mistake. See Bristol Palin, and Cruz’s attempted walk-back. So beloved is Palin, indeed, that her endorsement of Trump and her campaigning for him–not to speak of the negative Cruzite reaction–could enable a Trump victory in the caucuses.

the plot thickens
and
it all started with sarah endorsing trump
and
the iowa governor dumping on cruz
so
the establishment sees an opportunity to at least get cruz out of the way
but
the national review picked the wrong time to go after trump
now
the talk radio conservatives will have a melt down
they have always liked cruz
because
he shut down the government
but
the talk radio conservatives must still tolerate the trump idiots
who
must be well over half their audience
this is going to be fun

The RNC took back their invitation to the National Review to be part of the February GOP debate. It's a circus out there.

yes
but
we are now on plan b
get rid of cruz
decide which establishment candidate we want
then
defeat trump
defeat hillary later

I heard on the news today that among young Democrat women, Bernie was polling 19 points ahead of Hillary. I've wondered before whether Hillary would make it out of the primaries, and if she's not even winning over the women, I might surprise myself and be right.
Most of the corporate owned TV talking heads seem to think she may lose in Iowa and New Hampshire but still win in the "regular" states.

If This Isn’t Enough to Make You Want to Vote for Trump . . .
Thomas DiLorenzo

. . . then nothing is. National Review editor Rich Lowry gathered 22 fellow neocon chickenhawks in the current issue, starting with Bill Kristol and Glenn Beck (plus gay marriage champion David Boaz of the Koch/Cato Institute), to denounce Trump. Wow. 22 old-fart neocons. What a tidal wave of opposition! What inspirational leadership! Their greatest fear, of course, is that Trump will seek to use his legendary bargaining/deal-making skills to pursue peace rather than perpetual war in the Middle East. This would be a great benefit to the American public, but is contrary to the Official Doctrine of the Likud Party and its American neocon stooges and puppets at National Review, the magazine founded by CIA employee William F. Buckley, Jr. and which has been the preeminent war propaganda organ ever since. Talk about unpatriotic conservatives!

One of the funniest lines is Lowry’s criticism of Trump for being divorced. It brings to mind how National Review once put a cartoon drawing of thrice-divorced Rush Limbaugh on its cover, posing like Napoleon and labeled as “The Leader of the [Conservative] Opposition.” Lowry’s hero Limbaugh was also detained by customs agents at Palm Beach International Airport several years ago because he had a mislabeled bottle of Viagra pills in his suitcase when returning from a “sex tourism” trip to the Dominican Republic where prostitution is de facto legal.

Because we all saw how much Sarah added to John McCain's campaign ...

Did you ever consider he *might* have won that election had it not been for his choice in running mates?

It does seem like a bad move. I bet Trump comes out the better, not the worse.

Have they heard Trump during debates? It doesn't sound like his hope is to use negotiating.
