God never intended for his people to live according to laws and rules. This is why the law was abolished. Under the New Covenant, "The Just Shall Live By Faith" It is not possible for you to live by faith, just like it was not possible for the Pharisees to live by faith.

This is why there was conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees. The law was given to the Jews as a keeper until Jesus arrived, but after Jesus arrived they were to live by faith, Galatians 3:25, 26.
