Judged By Works-Works Prove Your Faith

So I often read about faith alone from other posters, but how can they honestly contend such when scripture explicitly states that faith alone is dead and that we are to be judged by others and GOD based on our works?

Do these people also contend that the bible is of misdirection? If not, then why the dishonesty?

It is confusing to say the least.

It goes much deeper than that. You would have to understand the inner workings of man. Your inner man is who you are. Your in the body but not alone. Every belief is from another spirit besides you. You have a guardian angel that gives you all the right thoughts on what God wants you to do. Then you have the devil that gives you all the thoughts to deceive you. Now all emotions are unclean spirits pushing you to agree with the devil. Then you have the Holy Spirit that only quotes verses. And them verses come with the power to make the right decision. Now think about how many people believe and tell you "I feel this is the right thing to do or believe". They do everything according to their emotions. Then you have those who say "The Holy Spirit told me with a verse". And that verse supports their guardian angel.
As long as someone is led by their feelings you will never be able to show them the truth. And until someone crucifies their emotions they will never be able to walk after the Holy Spirit. Do you see that no matter how hard you try to show someone the truth it won't help until they crucify their flesh.

James 1:21-24
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Luke 9:23-24
23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
24 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
John 3:5-7
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Mark 8:35
35 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
Gal 5:24
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Eph 5:14-17
14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light."
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Gal 6:5-8
5 For each one shall bear his own load.
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
John 6:63
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Matt 5:29-30
29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
30 "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Matt 22:16

Matt 19:27-29
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"
28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Heb 12:24-29
24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven."
27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
1 Tim 6:12-14
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Heb 4:1-11

1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";
5 and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."
6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,
7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

22 "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.

4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";

So how does it feel to live in rebellion to Him His way when you feel like choosing whatever day whenever and feel free to ignore His commandment to do AS HE DID?

Is it freedom or cathartic or power?

Or all three? You don't crucify yourself to do AS HE DID...you hold on to that little 9/10 law thingy that is actually 5/10 once factoring all the other commandment you break to continue your rebellion of any day everyday choose your own day worship...

Not wild at all...you just listed a lot of scripture about obedience and then with me you are all about choose whatever whenever day...you don't have to keep the Sabbath...

So is there another commandment we don't have to keep? The irony of believing you don't have to obey is that is breaking the first commandment as you are not worshiping God His way, the second you are making an idol, the fourth obviously, and well stealing His time away from Him...is it because you covet your neighbors Sunday ham? That would be another...

lol There you go with them wild accusations again. I am worshiping God the very way He says to. Through Jesus Christ. The work of God is to get everyone to believe in Jesus, even you.. Well I'm already doing that.

John 6:29
29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."

Your incredibly ignorant. Do you think anyone is interested in your own opinion??
Can you please support your stance that the Holy Spirit only recites verbatim scripture and is limited to such?

Thank you

I can only show you what the Holy Spirit showed me. The only advantage I have is experience.

The Holy Spirit brings to remembrance what Jesus has already said.

John 14:26
26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
(NKJ)

The Holy Spirit cant speak on His own authority, He can only take from what is already Jesus'-new testament

John 16:13-14
13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
(NKJ)

The Holy Spirit is the only guaranteed message from God.
2 Cor 5:5
5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
(NKJ)

That is the short version. Now I have posted revelations on the "Hidden Language" of the Spirit. And the Holy Spirit.

Yeah I get all that just fine, but none of it supported your claim that the Holy Spirit is limited to conveying verbatim scripture.

And only from the New Testament...in a secret tongue...

Wonder what the Holy Spirit did before the NT or while it was occuring...

Or the +200 years before it was compiled and edited for the permitted to read...

In fact why didn't the Holy Spirit just dictate verbatim like that to those who deeply desired to have the NT in their own tongue?

Seems awfully mean of the Holy Spirit to be able to chose one and no one else to merely dictate verbatim NT verses...and force others to languish and struggle with grammar tense meaning context and other problems with translation...

Ok maybe not to you. But it convinced me. Like I said experience, I have been listening to Him and walking after Him for 40 years now. But if you have some ideas I'll be glad to hear them.

Wow...Really?

I am humbled by your active attempt at hearing, and further by your 40 years of seeking.

I earnestly hope you at least consider my humble opinion though it doesn't align with your own.

I cannot claim to have been wholly or singularly responsible for the gift of my own faith, if responsible at all. It was ultimately given outside of my doing as far as I am concerned.

I can say that prior to uhm...belief I went through much introspection and retrospect in an attempt to mend the terrible flaws I had found manifested in my very being. This brutal self honesty and wallowing in the mire if you will, I believe may have been slightly needed, not as a work of myself, but as a predetermined inevitability.

So some fall in order for experience and knowledge of what is not good nor right.

Active truthful attempt for change and realization of rather inability to do what is known to be right and good.

Realization of inability, and sincere plea to GOD, I think was also somewhat causal yet still predetermined.

Now, after having been given faith 6 years ago, even through my own knowing hypocricy and misdirection, I witness and have witnessed the Holy Spirit through many things. But the thing I associate with the guiding Holy Spirit, the Help in preril, that resonates deep within ones core, and too, all throughout core sacred texts, would be most accurately described by me, as the selfless conscience.

I believe the Holy Spirit to dwell, perhaps dormant or blocked off, in all men/women.

Negation of wants of self are needed in order to even hear, and as you know and I would hope, can identify; not all spirit is that Holy sort.

I find it difficult to articulate what it is I wish to convey.

I would like for you to ask about any detail in any fashion you like please. Maybe it will help me to better express things.

I was seeking for 14 years. Then with the revelations of Jesus Christ I submit. The difference between those in the milk understanding and those in the meat understanding. Those who are in the milk feel a strong feeling to articulate with human wisdom. Those in the meat just submit to the Holy Spirit that only quotes verses. And as long as you put all the responsibility of your walk on God, you will never go into the meat understanding. Here are a couple things that you must do.

Gal 5:24-25
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
(NKJ)

2 Cor 10:4-5
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
