2 Cor 7:1
1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
James 4:1-4
1 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?
2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Gal 5:16-17
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Matt 18:8-9

Rom 9:16-21

2 Tim 2:24-26

xxx Emotions or passions are unclean spirits. They enfluence us by very strong feelings. They agree with the devil. They are part of our outer person. Our inner man is our spirit and soul. Our spirit is the mind of our inner man, and our soul is the body of our inner man. Our outer person is where the unclean spirits live and the devil and our guardian angel. Our guardian angel gives us the right thoughts and the devil gives us the wrong thoughts. We need the Holy Spirit(verses) to discern who is who. Unclean spirits only torment us when we are not feeding them. when we are giving into them or feeding them they dont torment us they make us feel good because we are feeding them.

Col 3:5-10
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

xxx The flesh is your outer person where feelings and emotions live. You have an inner man which is your spirit and soul. So you have an inner man, and an outer person. Your spirit is the mind of your inner man, and your soul is the body of your inner man. Your soul is where your affections come from, sadness, joy, compassion. Your outer person, is where your emotions are. Emotions or passions over take your being with strong feelings that are uncontrollable. when it talks about your flesh most of the time it is talking about your emotions. Your emotions control what you do in the flesh. That is why is tells us to crucify our flesh. Let the Word of God control your flesh. And you will be born again to the Spirit.

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

BREAK EMOTIONAL BONDAGE
John 8:36

xxx If your under emotional bondage you are driven by unclean spirits. And you always go through the same steps. Your tormented by the emotion(unclean spirit) until you give into it. Then you get a temporary good feeling, then you go through the regret(chastizement). But everytime you give into the unclean spirit he gets alittle stronger. Until one day he controls you and you cant resist him.



Eph 4:17-19
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,
18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;
19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

XXX Alot of people misunderstand anger and obedience. We have been given all the tools we need to obey God. And the new testament wasnt in force until after Jesus died on the cross. And the new testament is our salvation. Anger is an emotion(unclean spirit). And we must not give into it. If we resist it, it will get weaker, until it has to leave us. If we give into it, it will grow stronger and destroy us.

Knight, the string of verses you refer to is a dialogue in the meat understanding. Its what separates the milk understanding from the meat understanding. Its the hidden language of the Holy Spirit.

Maybe I haven't explained it very well in the carnal language. But I have shown it very well in demonstrating the Spirit.

What I have been called to do. Is demonstrate the Holy Spirit and the hidden language of the Holy Spirit. To show all that all questions that come up in our minds can be handled by the Holy Spirit and the verses.

1 Cor 2:4-5

5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Its to show people that their faith isn't in the Word of God but in human wisdom. But if they find the Holy Spirit they can have the true faith in the Word.

Emotions aren't good or bad. They just are. It's the amount of control they have over us/a situation that changes things.

I think somehow your understanding of emotions has been mixed up with something else.

God feels emotion. Jesus feels emotion. It's a part of the whole 'created in his image' thing that we feel emotion, also. Emotions come from our inner man, that part that lives forever with God.

All emotions have a purpose and allow us to see how we are affected by the outside world and our own inner dialogue.

Emotions, like thoughts, can be controlled but we should never feel bad for simply having emotions.
