Phil 2:12-14
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Mark 12:30
30 'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.
Luke 6:40-42
40 "A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.
41 "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?
42 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye.

4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
Heb 13:12-16
12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.
15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Heb 8:11
11 "None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

xxxxxIn the milk people are more concerned about saving others. But the meat is all about working out your own salvation.
You cant even be worried about your spouse or children. If you have that worry you dont have the true love of God in you.
If you have anything on earth left that you will regret leaving, you havent got your love right yet. Mate, children, money, property, books, prosperity, parents. To obtain salvation you must crucify all your emotions and feelings in obedience to the Word of God. You must bring every thought in your mind to the obedience of Jesus. These are the works the Word demands. Even common sense tells you that if salvation is free, there is no need for a judgment day, there is no need for the rest of the bible. Just say you believe and go to heaven. And you wouldnt need to try to work out your salvation as the scripture says.
