God the Father cannot die. Jesus the Son of God did die.

How can someone who is only a mortal man be called the Prince of Life?

How can someone who is only a mortal man be called the Prince of Life?

The Scripture says that God(the Father) only has immortality(life). Anyone after Him is GIVEN immortality(life) by Him.

Men are to seek for immortality, it is not something that is inherent in man. It comes by being raised immortal, to die no more.

The only way a man can enter into immortality is through Jesus, the Prince of life, who entered immortality himself when the veil of the Temple was torn. Jesus is called our forerunner into immortality by entering into the Most Holy Place(heaven) by his death, burial and resurrection.
