The innocent in Ukraine are suffering worse than former slaves in America

How do wicked bloodthirsty tyrants and barbarians get away with such egregious violations of human rights while idle and comfortable people around the country or around the world turn a blind eye? Because the devil is the father of the insensitive and unsympathetic idle and careless as well as the father of wicked bloodthirsty tyrants. There is no peace, no compassion, no love, and no justice among children of the devil, whether in America, Russia, or anywhere else.

Ukraine is fighting the monster Putin all by itself while America's official response is weak and shameless.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky called on citizens to defend the nation on Thursday morning local time as his Interior Ministry reported that there have been hundreds of casualties since Russia began its nationwide assault hours earlier.

“We are issuing arms to all those capable of defending our sovereignty,” Zelensky said during a televised address from Kyiv, in a translation broadcast on CNN. “Each citizen of Ukraine will decide the future of our people. Anyone with military experience who is able to join the defense of Ukraine must report to call-up stations.”

Ukraine is suffering because of failed leadership in America. Romney recently pointed out Obama's ignorance of the threat Russia still poses to the world. Obama was wrong but his ignorant response was hailed by leftists as a wise approach to foreign policy. Sadly, Russia went on to invade Ukraine in 2014, exposing Obama's failed leadership for refusing to honor the American agreement with Ukraine signed by Bill Clinton 20 or so years earlier. How sad are the tragic consequences of sin and incompetence.

"I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaeda is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaeda. And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years," Obama told Romney at the time.

Romney's remarks — and the critical debate moment that helped cement Obama's re-election — have been revisited several times over the last decade, especially when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 and after Russia engaged in cyber-manipulation of the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

Bill Clinton lied to the Ukrainians by promoting the Budapest memorandum that neither he nor any other American official intended to honor. Obama refused to act in good faith to uphold American obligations in the Memorandum and now we see the devastating results of refusing to honor commitments made to ensure greater peace and security among European nations and the world.

How sad.
