Heb 2:9-10

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

First we want to know who their are in this scripture. Who is the writer referring to ?

The their are the ones in Vs 9 who are called "The evey man" Jesus tasted death for !

His tasting death for them in Vs 9 is the same as His being made perfect through sufferings in Vs 10 which also made Him the Captain of their Salvation. His Sufferings unto Death saved them, them being the every man in Vs 9. No every man doesnt mean or say every man without exception, but it simply says and mean every man He tasted death for . And they all, every man of them, Christ was made the Captain of their Salvation !

Amen! Christ Jesus is the Captain [Author] of Salvation exclusively for the "every man" He tasted Death for by the Grace of God Heb. 2:9:

The "many" in Mat. 26:28 that He shed His Blood for. And the same Many He made Righteous by His Obedience on their behalf.

Rom. 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Hence, the "every man" Christ tasted Death for by the Grace of God Heb. 2:9-10 has been unconditionally Justified by His Grace Rom. 3:24.

They are the Elect Seed of Christ, His Spiritual Offspring Chosen in Him before the foundation of the World Eph. 1:4-7 to have remission of sins... the ones for whom His Soul was made an Offering for sin Is. 53:10.

Rom. 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

The term "captain" does not convey what the original Greek or even Hebrew term conveyed. Greek archeegos conveys a chief leader, as being first, foremost. Closest English translation would be "the heirarch".

This is where we get the term hierarchy from. Conveying chief; origin as being first and foremost. The term captain does not convey any of this.

You should stop cut and paste of scripture until you have personally grasped the complete understanding of the words contained in the scripture.

You argue about things that do not matter.

2 Timothy 2:14 Keep reminding God's people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.

Did Christ taste death for every Man ? Yes indeed He did, every man He represented, and they are also called the Church or Children which God hath given Him Heb 2:12-14

Amen, and Christ's Church, His called out ones He tasted death for, are also The Sheep John 10:3 of His Sheepfold.

John 10:11, 15

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

And after He tasted death for them, He was Risen as the Great Shepherd of the Sheep.

Heb. 13:20
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

vs.9 says 'tastes death for every man'

vs.10 says 'bring many sons to glory'

Jesus tasted death for every man on the cross (world) but only a subset of men are brought to glory by believing the gospel. CALVINIST FAIL!!!!

Christ, for those He tasted death for Heb 2:9 by that became the Captain of their Salvation Heb 2:9-10

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings [unto death].

Now to be the Captain of their Salvation, He must successfully bring them to Glory, the them being every man He tasted death for ! Christ by tasting death for those He died for must and does apply Salvation unto them so that they are brought to Glory and experience all of Salvation !

The Many Sons whom Christ tasted death for and brings to Glory as the Captain of their Salvation, are exclusive to God's Adopted Sons Chosen in union with Him before the foundation of the world.

Eph. 1:4-5
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will
