The tribulation is, in part, the indignation of Isaiah 26: 20, the period of time when the False Prophets deceive all but the elect. The work of the False Prophets in causing the falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3-4 spiritually advances toward the Abomination of Desolation,(Luke 21: 20), the great battle of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38-39), and the Pale Horse period (Revelation 6: 7-8) of time where Death and Hell dominate society. The transgressors which come to the full not only come to the full in sin but also quarrel against the truth of God. They include the False Prophets, who quarrel against the truth of God.
The False Prophets are now operating in the Church after the Falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3-4. The False Prophets lead the Church more and more into false doctrines, and the result is that the Church has no spiritual understanding or strength to stand up to the fall of the society into homosexuality, etc, led by political correctness.
Remember that Matthew 24 uses deceive in verses 4, 5, 11,and 24. The False Prophets of the Church use deception in leading the "collective" out of the truth and more and more into false doctrines..
Remember that Zephaniah 3: 13 says "The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth." This is saying the same thing as Revelation 14: 5, "in their mouth was found no guile."
A distinguishing trait of the remnant is that they are not deceptive, in our present day age of deception, which is also the age of the psychopath. One of the traits of the psychopath is persistent telling of lies.
Those who claim to be of the remnant but are deceptive are not the remnant.
