Electron Lab Director Brings Dino Tissue to RSF

This is the show from Friday, June 18th 2012.

SUMMARY:

* Mark Armitage on the CRS iDINO Project: Real Science Friday co-host Bob Enyart interviews Creation Research Society board member and microscopy expert Mark Armitage about the original biological tissue in a CRS Triceratops horn. Along with iDINO microbiologist Dr. Kevin Anderson, Mark traveled to the Hell Creek Formation in Montana and guided by local fossil expert and museum curator Otis Kline, excavated a huge Triceratops horn, and like Harvard, and dozens of other universities, broke it open and... guess what... soft tissue!

For this topic Real Science Friday recommends
Dr. Carl Werner's Living Fossils video
and
its prequel Evolution, the Grand Experiment!

* Come Out Tonight to the Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship: You're invited to attend the RMCF meeting tonight, Fri., June 8th at 7 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Chapel at Wadsworth and 21st to hear CRS scientists Mark Armitage, Danny Faulkner, Jean Lightner, Mike Oard, Kevin Anderson, and president Don DeYoung! UPDATE: About a dozen CRS scientists graciously stayed after the event for more than an hour to answer questions from the large crowd that had such a great time that folks just didn't want to leave. Thanks to RMCF president Ed Bourdreaux and Fred Williams, Bill Browning, Tom, Frank, and everyone who made the event such a great success! Coloradans should plan to attend each second Friday!

* Armitage Compliments the RSF Dino Soft Tissue Page: Mark Armitage complimented our DinosaurSoftTissue.com listing as probably the web's most complete catalog of peer-reviewed journal papers confirming the existence of original biological tissue from dinosaurs! Also, in the near future, RSF will upload photos we took of Mark's Triceratops bone and also we'll upload photos that Mark took, but with an electron microscope, of the same fragment!

Was Thursday's show a rerun? It wasn't on the site, but this one was, when I checked earlier today.
