Possible Influence On Trump From Christian Zionism and the Neo-Con Urge To Lead the U.S. Into War To Help Israel

Here is some of the evidence about why the issue of an influence upon the Trump Administration's foreign policy by the dispensationalist should be looked at. And how could you show that the Trump Administration is being led into a war against Syria to benefit Israel, and or the Administration is risking a war with Russia because it is following the old Hal Lindsey dispensationalist doctrine that Russia is the Gog of Ezekiel 38-39? Maybe if Trump, or General McMasters, or Jared Kushner came out and said they were waging war in Syria for a regime change to help Israel, that would be some evidence. Leaking of credible information that they are intentionally going to war against Syria, which has a Christina population among other faiths, to benefit Israel might be some evidence though not as convincing.

I don't know if some Neo-Conservatives have stated in an explicit way that they want the U.S. to go to war against some nation to help Israel. The Neo-Cons may say this by implication rather than by explicit statements.

Old Testament prophecy must be interpreted by the New Testament.

Seeing the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy as being a literal invasion of the nation
called Israel by Russia and allies in our time, as Hal Lindsey has done,
makes the nation of Israel the people of God at this time.

This is exactly what the Christian Zionists are delighted to do - make the
nation of Israel into God's people - because their theology begins from a
presupposition or assumption that Old Covenant Israel, its multitude, is
now one of God's two peoples, Old Covenant Israel and the Capital C Church,
which is seen by them to be the Body of Christ.

I know of of no New Testament prophecy which refers to Ezekiel 38. Revelation 16: 12-15 could be seen to be metaphorically describing a spiritual battle rather than a literal end time battle called Armageddon. Likewise, Ezekiel 38-39 can be interpreted by New Testament scripture and prophecy as being a spiritual conflict between the false prophets and the people loyal to God, to the doctrines of Christ (Revelation 12: 15-17).

But the dispensationalists may not give up their doctrine that Russia is
the Gog of Ezekiel 38-39.

Stephen Sizer, in his 2006 book, Christian Zionism: Road-Map To
Armageddon, calls dispensationalism Christian Zionism. Christian Zionism
is more descriptive of this theology, which claims Old Covenant Israel
still exists as a people of God, alongside the Church, and that the nation
in the Middle East called Israel, is God's Israel.

"...white born-again/evangelical Christians cast their ballots for the
controversial real estate mogul-turned-politician at an 81 percent to 16
percent margin over Hillary Clinton.

Evangelicals of color—who represent 2 in 5 evangelicals, but aren’t

leading up to the election. But she ultimately underperformed among
Hispanics and African Americans compared to President Barack Obama before
her."

Christian Zionism took over the majority of evangelical denominations, and
so one of the masses of Trump voters and supporters can be identified as
the white evangelicals, especially male white evangelicals.

"In mid-July, 66 percent of registered white voters were planning to vote
for Trump, and in some Southern states the figure is close to 90 percent.
So, white evangelicals are no more pro-Trump than white folks generally."

"The only popular alternative to Calvinism in American evangelicalism is
dispensationalism.......... Although God does not change,
dispensationalists say, he occasionally changes the rules."

Among American evangelicals, dispensationalists or Christian Zionists, are
much more numerous than those who belong to the Reformed churches.

"After Trumps summit with pastors, it donned on me that many of his closest
“evangelical” supporters are the old guard Religious Right
Dispensationalists (John Hagee, James Dobson, Robert Jeffress, Jerry
Falwell Jr… etc.) and prosperity gospel preachers..."

John Hagee, James Dobson and Jerry Falwell Jr are all Christian Zionists.
I don't know the theology that Robert Jeffress follows, but he too may be a
Christian Zionist.

"During the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, several
high-profile evangelical leaders quietly expressed their support for Donald
Trump, adding to the more fervent and public endorsement of other
evangelicals such as Jerry Falwell, Jr., the president of Liberty
University. Ralph Reed of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Tony Perkins of
the Family Research Council, activist Gary Bauer, and Penny Nance of
Concerned Women for America each gave versions of the same argument in
interviews."

Ralph Reed has been associated with the Assembly of God, which probably
indicates he is a Christian Zionist.

Jerry Falwell Jr is or was President of Liberty University, a
dispensationalist institution and probably he is also a dispensationalist
or Christian Zionist.

"In its fiftieth anniversary year, the State of Israel has no better
friends than American evangelicals. So it seemed to Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu when he addressed the Voices United for Israel
Conference in Washington, D.C., in April 1998. Most of the 3,000 in
attendance were evangelicals, including Ralph Reed of the Christian
Coalition,"

A Christian Zionist who has given Trump some support is Franklin Graham.

Paula White, a Prosperity Gospel preacher, who may also be a Christian
Zionist, has been a friend of Trump's There is also Mark Burns, a
televangelist, who is a Trump supporter. I don't know what his
theology is.

Even if the Christian Zionists are no longer insisting that Russia is the Gog of Ezekiel 38, the Neo-Conservatives may however be trying to manipulate the U.S. in a large scale war to totally defeat Bashar Assad's regime in Syria to help Israel.

See: http://www.washingtontimes.com/.../hr-mcmaster-bashar.../..........." Syrian regime change now part of Trump’s strategy, national security adviser confirms."

Roger Stone a personal friend of Trump's today was saying today that he thinks Trump is against expanding the war in Syria, and that China is trying to stop North Korea from provoking a war with the U.S. and that Russia is showing signs of being willing to negotiate on Syria. But Stone says that Steve Bannon may be shoved out of Trump's Inner Circle, which is bad news.
