Is a heterosexual fornicator any better than a homosexual?

Yes. The Bible does not call for the execution of heterosexual fornicators. Rather it calls for heterosexual fornicators to get married.

Johnny said:
Is a liar any better off without Jesus than a rapist? No. They all need him.

They both need Him and the rapist should be given the extra blessing of meeting Him sooner via a swift execution after a speedy trial.

Homosexuals need Jesus. Child molesters need Jesus. Liars need Jesus. Cheaters need Jesus. Our righteousness is like a filthy rag.

Jesus was nailed to a piece of wood for child-molesters, homosexuals, and rapists. But some sins are worse than others.

It may start out as a choice, but ends up as a trap.

I disagree. It starts as a choice and continues as a choice and the ONLY way to overcome it is by choice.

The disease metaphore in addiction
isn't meant to give up responsibility, on the contrary a big part of the step work is
taking responsibility, that's part of recovery.

The term disease is used to give hope that a cure is possible, for those who are trapped.

Calling Alcoholism a 'disease' makes the people who have it feel as if they have no choice in the matter when in fact they have the ultimate choice, cesation. If alcoholism can be cured by simply choosing not to drink, it isn't a disease. If it were, Cancer [a real disease] would be curable through will power alone.

Sorry, labeling alcoholism as a diease is offensive, innacurate and does nothing more for its 'practitioners' than give them a reason to relinquish personal responsibility and continue drinking.
