Most American manufacturing jobs are lost due to technology, not trade. Technology could put an end to 5 million jobs in America by 2020.

They can always blame "some foreigner" for what is really their own willful failure to look into the potential impact of such developments on their livelihood and what re-education they might do well to look into, while they still can.

Make America Greater versus their fool notion of Make America Great Again...

Many of the jobs being lost are better then the ones being created. And besides that their are more people than jobs. If EVERYONE trained for a new job there would still be many out of work.

Nixon was the best president since Ike

and lincoln before him

Tell that to the families of the many, many more of our GIs who died in Vietnam when Nixon sabotaged the Peace talks so he could make his opponant look like a failure and win the Election.

The man had no conscience.

People need to realize that the days of you picking a career and doing that for 40-60 years are long over. We need to be flexible and able to adjust. Manufacturing jobs are gone and it's not the worst thing in the world. There is still no lack of manual labor jobs out there. There are careers where they can't find enough people, like welders and teachers.

This trend isn't going anywhere. There is a job title called 'Social Media Manager' out there right now, and it will have disappeared in twenty years. If you have kids, or you're a millennial, you must learn to diversify your income streams and make sure you're staying on top of trends. Or go become a welder -- they're not going anywhere. :)
