Theology Club: It Is Of Faith That It Might Be By Grace

Why do those in the Pseudo-MAD community assert that the Jews who lived under the law could not be saved unless they did works, especially with these words of Paul in front of them?:

"Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all" (Ro.4:16).

Even before writing those words Paul used David, who lived under the law, as a person saved apart from works:

"Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin" (Ro.4:6-8).

Peter, who also lived under the law, made it plain that his salvation was by grace:

"We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are" (Acts 15:11).

Even after being shown these verses those in the Pseudo-MAD camp continue to insist that the Jews who lived under the law could not be saved unless they believed and did works.

These people have a serious problem because the put more faith in what some men say about the Scriptures than they do in what the Scriptures actually say.

Where are all those people from the Pseudo-MAD group who continually argue that the Jews who lived under the law could not be saved apart from works?

Why do those who believe otherwise insist on hounding after those who do not, no matter the thread, subject, post, year after year, belittling those who give them the grace of ignoring their gnat like hounding after?

Yes, because one can only believe by or through Grace Acts 18:27

27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

The Grace of the Spirit or the Spirit of Grace from the New Birth !

It was the Jews who lived under the law of Moses so these words of Paul are describing how they were saved:

"Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all" (Ro.4:16).
