I'm not surprised they would cry foul! One need only read this and similar threads to see that there seems to be a resonant attitude among homeschoolers that they should be allowed to freely criticize other methods of instruction but that no one should be allowed to criticize them.

Cheleice;
excellent observation, my friend

Billy;
No it isn't!

When a homeschooler criticizes Public Schools, he is doing more than criticizing. He is actively doing something about it by removing his kid from Public School and going through enormous inconvenience to provide a superior education for his children. Meanwhile, his tax dollars are still funding the very thing he abhors. When your tax dollars start paying for my homeschooled kids education, then you will have a right to voice your opinion and criticize homeschooling. Mostly, the people who criticize homeschooling are anti-Christians and pro socialism. Mostly, the people who homeschool are Conservative Christians and they are the real target of the anti-homeschooling crowd, not the homeschooling itself.

With homeschooling, look at the big 'money' controllers who get left out of the loop, such as unions who are the constituents of the Democrat party. Also, the dems, who are socialists, do not get a chance to brainwash and indoctrinate homeschooled kids with political correctness, 'tolerance', globalism and a twisted interpretation of America and the Constitution.

The best thing the dems could do to help their party is to outlaw homeschooling altogether. Of course, that wouldn't be very American, but nothing else they do is, either.
