Jesus wasn't referring solely of adultery when He spoke of the only viable cause for divorce.It would seem that Chrstians cannot agree on what it means.
Read Galatians 4:20-28 without the literal veil that as you thinking this is about two sibling in history when its a timeless event that happens in man! The kingdom of God you look outside for which is the veil that blinds you.I hope you are kidding.

Come on.
GOD chose Jacob over Esau before they were ever born, before they did anything right or wrong at all.
It was pure election (ie. unmerited).
And GOD was going to fulfill every blessed promise He made no matter how badly Jacob screwed up. (Ooo, there's that 'unmerited' stuff again.)
We like to call it ..... grace.
Well it ain't because he was an upstanding gentleman.
