ECT 'Day of Salvation' theme unifies the Bible, not D'ism

This age is the time of God's favor and the day of salvation that was promised. We can add a bit of 1st century detail to that by saying there was a way to avoid the conflagration with Rome (and God's final judgement on Israel through that) by being a 'minister of reconciliation' with Paul. But now that that has passed and time has moved on, God's word was referring to this age in Is 49 which was quoted in 2 Cor 6 (really belonging with ch 5).

This is what resolves questions about 'unfinished business' in the prophets. The prophets have been turned into prognosticators with total detail about events in modern Israel instead of what Paul just said. This change was done by Dispensationalism. What Paul said in 2 Cor 6 is the template, and the broad strokes of our thinking has to line up with that.
