Our homeschool group, WHaT (Westside Homeschooled Teens), participated in a Chemical Car Competion held at TU. Here's a picture of their car along with their poster describing such things as how their car was powered, the design of the car and safety features.

We placed 7th out of 20 High Schools. We've already got new ideas and are ready for next year.

We're gracious losers. :D

We had to come up with a chemical reaction that would cause an electrical car to stop at a given distance not to be anounced until the day of the competition. The kids were only told that it would be somewhere between 20 and 45 feet. The given distance ended up being 37.34 feet.
