2 Cor 5:19

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now false teachers abuse this scripture to teach that Christ died for everyone in the world, and that everyone in the world without exception has been reconciled to God or has an opportunity to be . However thats false teaching, and the truth is, this world, whom God was in Christ reconciling unto himself, God does not count, impute, or charge their sins unto them, which is non imputation, which is forgiveness of sins. How do we know this ? From other scripture, for instance Ps 32:1-2

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

You see, non imputation and sin forgiven go hand in hand. The world in 2 Cor 5:19 is an forgiven world. But thats not all, the forgiven world, where sin is not imputed is an world clothed with the imputed righteousness of Christ ! How do we know this ? Scripture supports scripture, so lets look at Rom 4:6-8


Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.



You see that ? The people whom God will not impute sin, like that world in 2 Cor 5:19, which constitutes their forgiveness, Paul enlightens us here that these same ones are them unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works !

So there you go, the world in 2 Cor 5:19 is a world of men and women whom God hath imputed righteousness without works ! So the world in 2 Cor 5:19 cant be all without exception, since some will remain unrighteous before God 1 Cor 6:9

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Excellent! And the World that God reconciled to Himself 2 Cor. 5:19 by non imputation of sins, is the same World that He Loved Eph. 1:4; John 3:16 In Christ from Everlasting to have forgiveness of sins Eph. 1:7 and an eternal inheritance Eph. 1:11. So the World God Loves He makes Righteous Rom. 5:19; as opposed to the world God did not love in 1 Cor. 6:9 which He has declared unrighteous, which shall not inherit the kingdom.

The righteous world is the world Christ died for.

The reason why the righteous world in 2 Cor 5:19 doesnt have its sins charged to it, non imputation, is because it would be unjust of God to do so since those sins of theirs have been imputed to Christ so that He would die for them. You see the wages of their sin was death Rom 6:23a, and thats the death Christ died for them due to their sins, and its the Gift of God Rom 6:23b.

Now as previously shown, the non imputation of sin corresponds with receiving imputed righteousness without works Rom 4:6-8, meaning without doing anything. You see those Christ died for were also made righteous in the sight of God passively by Christ's one obedience culminating in His death Rom 5:19

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.


Now understand, for just as by the disobedience of the One Adam, many or all were made sinners, prior to having done any sin personally of themselves, So by the Obedience of the ONE MAN Christ, are many or all [for whom He represented] made Righteous prior to having done any good thing. That includes any act of faith or repenting or calling on the name of the Lord. It is also written in conjunction with this in the Prophet Isaiah Isa 53:11b

by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many[make righteous];[why] for he shall bear their iniquities.

Simply said, the many here or the all were made righteous, just, or justified because He bear their sins, which corresponds to by the obedience of one many/all shall be made righteous !

Yep, and those Christ made Righteous passively by His Obedience on their behalf, the same ones shall in time also receive New Birth passively.

Absolutely! That is included in the promise of Rom 5:19, to be made righteous, both legally and then subjectively. That is how they were made sinners, first legally in their natural head Adam, then subjectively when born sinners individually.

Christ in other words was made sin for them 2 Cor 5:21

Amen Brother ! Those who belong to the eternally reconciled, forgiven and Blessed World Rom. 4:6-8, even though they sin all day long, God cannot charge them with any sin because Christ made them legally Righteous by imputing their sins to Him 2 Cor. 5:19: so no punishment is due them.

However, there's a World that remains eternally condemned, 1 Cor. 11:32b which is being reserved / prepared for Judgment due for their sins Rev. 21:8.
