Unemployment benefits paid out during lockdowns is now being required to be paid back by those deemed ineligible retroactively. People who lost their jobs because the government closed down their employer are now being targeted for repayment because they were "ineligible" for unemployment benefits. The inescapable conclusion is if that the government closes businesses they hold the employees laid off responsible for the business closures.
