To the called !

To the called !

The Gospel is a matter of conversion, being saved when it's preached to them that are the called 1 Cor 1:23-24

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

In the original its them The called denoting a specific segment, for in Preaching Christ Crucified, all without exception are the Called; This calling is restricted to the chosen 1 Cor 1:26-28

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

This call is unto chosen from both jew and greek Vs 24, in fact its the same called here Rom 9:24

24 Even us, whom he hath called or chosen, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Now many may object and bring up Matt 20:16

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen

Matt 22:14

14 For many are called, but few are chosen. However that call is under the Old Covenant and had to do with Abraham's physical seed in National Israel. Abraham's physical seed Israel was called into formation for the sake of the chosen within her, so the many were called Nationally, but few chosen and called to Salvation, whereas under the New Covenant Dispensation, all of the called are the Chosen as well !

Paul's Preaching of the Kingdom !

Paul's Preaching of the Kingdom !

Paul's Preaching of the Kingdom of God Acts 20:25,24

25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

It was comprised of His making known the Gospel of God's Grace Vs 24

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Which is no more than elucidating those Doctrines and Teachings about God's Grace in the Salvation of the Election of Grace Rom 11:5, which commences with Grace given them in Christ Jesus before the World Began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Again this is about the Election of Grace Rom 11:5

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

There is a remnant of the Election of Grace not only in National Israel in Paul's day, but also in the world in General, the Gentiles Acts 15:14

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Take out of ! The word take here is the Greek word lambanō and it means: to take, to choose, select

The word out is the prep ek meaning: out of, from, by, away from

So God selected or chose out of the gentiles a People for His Name, thats Election of Grace as well !

So Yes testifying of these things is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God !

Never a Offer !

Never a Offer !

Preaching the Gospel is never a offer being made to men, but it consists in being a

Testimony, a Witness, stating facts Matt 24:14

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness/testimony unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

That word preached is kēryssō:to publish, proclaim openly: something which has been done

2 Tim 1:8-10

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

1 Cor 1:6

6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

Thats how the Gospel is believed, it has to be confirmed in us by the Spirit of God ! This is what distinguishes preaching unto from a offer, when it comes to Salvation, the Gospel is preached in order to be confirmed to and in the saved !

2 Thess 1:10

10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Preaching the Gospel is to bear testimony of the Saving acts of God through Christ 1 Tim 1:16

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Paul Preached or Testified of what He experienced of the saving act of God.

Now them that are redeemed and justified by the blood, saved by new birth, this testimony of the Gospel is applied by the power of the Holy Spirit to our minds and heart [confirmed] and so then the testimony is said to have come with power as Per 1 Thess 1:5

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

Paul means the same here Rom 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel / testimony of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

We know when it comes with power to any individual because when it does the testimony is believed, so to them only, the Gospel did not come only in word, just a mere testimony, but it came to them in power of the Holy Spirit, with much spiritual persuasion and conviction in them !

Gospel is Universal for a Testimony !

Gospel is Universal for a Testimony !

Matt 24:14

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness /testimony unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The Gospel was commanded to be preached to every creature or to all the world, not because it was to be to everyone without exception Good News of their Salvation, but that it should be a Testimony or a Witness unto all Nations, however the application of it as word of Salvation was going to be limited to some, the Meek Isa 61:1 or the Poor in Spirit Lk 4:18, for in the Wisdom of God,its a Savor of Life to some [The Meek] and of death to others, which are the reprobates of the world. When the Gospel is not believed, it makes God a Liar, because the record of what God's Son has done 1 Jn 5:10

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Unbelief in the Gospel of God's Grace makes God a liar, even though the Gospel witness was not sent to us for a word of Salvation, it is nevertheless the Word of Truth ! So , God sends the Gospel out Universally as a Witness, as a Testimony ! If we are born of God when we hear it, we shall believe, if not, we shall be damned !

Preaching a False Gospel !

Preaching a False Gospel !

Preaching a False Gospel is when we tell people that Christ died to save all mankind without exception, if they would only believe. God's Salvation Promise to His People are not based upon a conditional if from any sinner, but is grounded in His Election in Christ, and Christ's Redemptive Death for the same, with the Spirit's application unto that Individual, the Preacher has no right to tell anyone that Christ died for them as an Individual, for Christ must reveal that fact unto them! Now if any person was not chosen in Christ before the foundation, Christ did not die for them, and we preach to them a false gospel and hope if we tell individuals that God did not Love as per Ps 5:5 and those whom Christ did not die for Jn 8:24;10:26 that He does Love them and that Christ did lay down His Life for them !

However, what is acceptable to state in True Gospel Preaching is that God Loves sinners, but to stretch the Truth and declare that God Loves all sinners or that Christ died for all sinners, is a lie, a false Gospel.

You see the reason why many do not believe on Christ for Salvation, and do die in their sins, its because they were not of His Sheep that He did indeed die for as testified here Jn 10:11,15

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

The word for in both references here is the prep huper which means:

in behalf of

He lays down His Life in behalf of the Sheep ! Thats Limited or Particular speech ! Are all men without exception his Sheep ? No, Jn 10:26 shows that Jn 10:26

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

Now if you and I tell a person[an unbeliever] that Christ laid down His Life for them, and they happen not to be of His Sheep, we have Just lied to that individual, we are false witnesses.

But Christ did lay down His Life for the Sheep, who in God's time when He sends them Gospel, they do hear His Voice, which hearing Faith cometh by, if they have been given to Christ by the Father in Election, they shall come to Him Jn 6:37

37 All[The Sheep] that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

When Preaching the doctrine of Election to Salvation, A Salvation by Grace Doctrine, it must be Preached Truthfully, and one of the Truths of it is this, that those whom God chooses, is before they have done any good or evil Rom 9:11

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

That the purpose of God according to Election might stand, that is Election of Grace. If Election of Grace was dependent on ones believing, accepting, repenting, or anything DONE by us, then it is no longer an election Grace, but of works. Rom 11:5-6

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Preach the Whole Counsel of God !

Preach the Whole Counsel of God !

In preaching Salvation by Grace the servant of the Lord must be able to explain how all Three Beings in The Godhead, the Father, Son/ Word and Holy Spirit does individually save us by Grace. This of course may not take place in one setting, but it must be done, for its part of the all the counsel of God Paul mentions here Acts 20:21-27

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Need a New Heart first to Believe the Gospel !

Need a New Heart first to Believe the Gospel !

Need a New Heart first to Believe the Gospel ! Why is that ? We know that one who is a True Believer in the Gospel, had to be already a recipient of a New Heart prior to believing, and in order to believe, because believing is an act of the understanding, this we know from Jesus own words Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Thats because the natural man has no understanding of the things of God which the Gospel is. Rom 3:11

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

The indictment against all flesh by nature is none that understandeth. The word understandeth syniēmi:

to set or bring together

a) in a hostile sense, of combatants

2) to put (as it were) the perception with the thing perceived

a) to set or join together in the mind

1) i.e. to understand: the man of understanding

2) idiom for: a good and upright man (having the knowledge of those things which pertain to salvation)

This is the same word used by the Holy Spirit both in Matt 13:23 and Rom 3:11.

Man by nature, our understanding is darkened to the things of God Eph 4:18

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

So the heart that receives the Gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus says which hears and brings forth salvation fruit to any degree, they understood the Word of the Kingdom, which means they had to have been given a New Heart with an capacity to understand spiritual things of God, to put them or set them together in their mind !

So No New Heart given by New Birth, No fruitful hearing and Believing of the Gospel !

To them that are Called !

To them that are Called !

1 Cor 1:23-24

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

τοῖς κλητοῖς

The focus here is on the them which are the called, and not all men without exception, but the Chosen of God, the Heirs Heb 9:15

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

To them goes out the Gospel Call, the Preaching of Christ, which to all others He will be a stumblingblock, but to the called, the heirs, the Cross preaching is #1 1 Cor 1:18,24

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Now by this Call to these specific ones, Christ whom is Preached is Revealed in them as stated by Paul's Testimony as when he became a believer Gal 1:15-16

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Christ is revealed internally by the Gospel to the Called, and so when Christ is revealed to us Internally or experimentally we then become believers in Him, and that constitutes an effectual call, which is the blessing of being one of the Called, Called by Grace, which Grace was given us in the Eternal Purpose before the World Began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

The call here is the same as the Call Paul mentions in Gal 1:15, a Call because of that Grace given in Christ, which in time, Reveals Christ in Us !

The Gospel Call to the Chosen !

The Gospel Call to the Chosen !

1 Thess 1:4-5

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

The Gospel Call is for God's Elect when its about Salvation, for those He hath Chosen to Salvation. Paul here calls them bothers, beloved of God, and knows their Election of God, by how the Gospel came to them by God, in Power and in the Holy Ghost [Rom 1:16], later Paul writes that they[The Chosen/Elect] had been Called by the Gospel 2 Thess 2:13-14

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now this Gospel is an act in time, done by God, being called of God, and it makes manifest in time, the ones God has Chosen in Christ before the foundation, those who were embraced in the Purpose of Election of Grace Rom 9:11

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

Here Calling and Election goes together !

Rom 11:5

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

And so this Call of the Gospel is that alone means whereby the Objects of Eternal Election can be known by us in time.

In other words, ones belief of the Truth of the Gospel is a good evidence of ones Election, if they continue in that Truth !

Now herein lie the connection in the Call of the Gospel in time and Eternal Election in Christ and of Grace before Time 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Now understand here, Those called in time are already saved before time began by God's Eternal Purpose [Of Election Rom 9:11] and Grace [Election of Grace Rom 11:5] given them in Christ Before the World Began. So the Gospel Call in time is strictly speaking to the saved already by the Purpose of God before Time. Notice Paul's order here, " Who hath Saved Us, and Called Us " that's the Scripture Testimony.

Now the Saved by God's Eternal Purpose of Election, is not yet experiential Salvation, for that occurs at the Time of the Call of the Gospel in time, for instance Paul writes to the Called of Corinth 1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross [Or Gospel] is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God

Saved here is actually are being saved, present tense, because the Gospel, to the Called, is the Power of God at Work in them converting them to its Truth.

Notice 1 Cor 1:24

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

The Gospel is to the Called in Time, called because Saved by the Eternal Purpose before time, it is to them when Callled, the Power of God.

Also one final point In 2 Tim 1:9, this calling is according to the Purpose of God, as well as Rom 8:28 refers to the same Call and Purpose Rom 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose [2 Tim 1:9].

Rom 1:16-17 Revealed Truth

Rom 1:16-17 Revealed Truth

Rom 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

When it comes to the Gospel being a word of Salvation to one, it in this is not an offer, nor a proposal, but its to that one a revelation of the Righteousness of God from faith [The word of faith Rom 10:8] to faith [ the fruit of faith given in New Birth], So its revealed to God given Faith.

The Righteousness of God made known to them was because Christ was made sin for them 2 Cor 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Hence all for whom He died [was made sin for] will have the Gospel sent to them to reveal to them this Righteousness of God as theirs, then they may sing aloud Isa 61:10

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Now if the Gospel is this revelation of the Righteousness of God freely given us or imputed, all such revelation is through the Spirit Eph 1:17

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Also 1 Cor 2:6-12

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things only the Gospel reveals in the hands of the Spirit. For God does not pour the New Wine of Gospel Revelation into old vessels or bottles Matt 9:17

17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

The Gospel is a Mystery revealed, that is why it is called the Mystery of the Faith 1 Tim 3:9

9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

A Mystery is something man cannot know or embrace by Nature, but it must be revealed !

Must be spiritual or born spiritual to believe gospel!

Must be spiritual or born spiritual to believe gospel!

One of the reasons why a person must be spiritual or Born of the Spirit to embrace and Believe the Gospel of God, is because therein the deep things of God are revealed, like Election, Predestination unto Salvation and God's Counsels relating thereunto ! Paul in describing the message of the Gospel of the Cross and Him crucified to the Corinthians says this 1 Cor 2:2,6-13

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,[The Gospel] even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Which things the Gospel reveals to Faith !

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Notice again Vs 7 The Gospel is the Wisdom of God, which is Christ 1 Cor 1:24 and God's Eternal Purpose of Salvation in Him 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Which does include [if we are saved] our Election in Christ before the foundation of the World Eph 1:4, So the Gospel is inclusive of the whole salvific Counsel of the Eternal Counsel of God Acts 20:27

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Eph 1:11

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance[Salvation Inheritance], being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Now the Natural man cannot embrace these Gospel Truths, for in fact they are foolishness to him 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things[or deep things] of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We know Paul here in this context is speaking of the Gospel as foolishness to the natural man, for he had just wrote it here 1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross[Christ Crucified 1 Cor 2:2] is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Its the same word as in 1 Cor 2:14. The Natural man, not yet born again, is incapable of understanding the Gospel things, because they are spiritually discerned[or judged or examined]

This plainly informs us that an person dead in sin, only in the flesh, unregenerate is not capable of understanding and believing the Gospel of God, which understanding is required in fruitful hearing Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

And the Natural man cannot do that !

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The Gospel, If Christ died for our sins, reveals to us our Salvation ! The Righteousness of God made known to us by the Spirit and the Gospel is Our Salvation

Isa 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

For all whom Christ died, in due time [in time] there is a impartation, a Revelation of the Knowledge of their Salvation like as noted here Lk 1:77

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

All for whom Christ died has the remission of sins through the Blood of Christ Matt 26:28

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

And the Knowledge of this, which none have by nature, this knowledge is Given to them , by the Holy Spirit applying the Gospel to them in their consciousness, and to such, by the Spirit applying, the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation / Conversion unto them Believing, believing that which is being revealed by the Gospel, the Righteousness of God being imputed to them based upon Christ having been made sin for them, that they be made the Righteousness of God in Him 2 Cor 5:21, and so that is what is made known to them in the Gospel, and that's the impartation of Knowledge by the Remission of sins ! This was witnessed by the Law and the Prophets Ps 98:2-3

2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

This passage in the Psalms here is in substance the same as Rom 1:16-17. For God's Salvation is made known here, and its revealing of His Righteousness, that's the Salvation of God !

In Preaching Election !

In Preaching Election !

In Preaching Election , we do it no Justice if we fail, neglect or shun to emphasize a rejection, there was no Eternal Election if there was no Eternal rejection of the hated reprobated. Its only reasonable that the Election denotes a rejection which is seen in principle here Ps 78:67-68

67 Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim:

68 But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved.

As it is in principle here, So God rejected the non elect, those not Chosen in Christ before the foundation that He Loved Eph 1:4-5, for remember those God has Chosen He Loved them Deut 7:6-8

For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Its Illustrated again in His Loving and choosing Jacob over his brother Rom 9:11-13

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Mal 1:2-3

2 I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob,

3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

That Election is of Grace and Unconditional is more clearly defined when its seen to be in contrast to others who the Elect were no less sinful than they were, for the elect in themselves were no more deserving of God's Elective Love as those God rejected .

Both groups are equally sinful and deserving of Eternal Death, but God , before the Foundation chose one Group to be merciful unto for their sinfulness and the other to deal in strict unmerciful justice for their sins !

Acts 17:3

Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach not offer unto you, is Christ.

Preaching Christ is a most Blessed Calling that a man can receive fro God, and its no easy task, and before one can preach Christ aright, Christ must first be made known or revealed in one Gal 1:15-16

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

And this same revealing must take place to whomever God calls to preach His Son among the masses !

To Preach Christ is more than stating that Christ was crucified, though that is of upmost importance, but it entails explaining who He is as God's Elect Isa 42:1, and who He is as the Covenant Head of His People chosen in Him Isa 42:6; Col 1:18. To be able to answer or show why He must needs suffer and rise Lk 24:26,46

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

Did this behooving have to do with a Eternal Covenant whereby He would shed His Blood and for who it would be shed Heb 13:20

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

In Preaching Election ! 2

In Preaching Election ! 2

Whenever we do not preach Election or teach Salvation by the Election of Grace, meaning that it is a Discriminative Salvation bestowed upon some, and purposely withheld from others or the rest, and that the reason why one believes to the saving of the soul and another does not, its because God Sovereignly chose one to Salvation and belief of the Truth 2 Thess 2:13

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

The word belief can also be Faith So it could read:

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and faith in the truth:

But the other was not chosen ! Todays false teachers tell us that Saving Grace is offered to everyone without exception, which is a lie not one scripture supports, no not even Titus 2:11, however they insist that Saving Grace is there for taking but one must accept it in order for it to Save you.

Once we fall into that type reasoning, then our accepting it[Grace] becomes an meritorious deed one does, whether we admit it or not, and it gives that one reason to boast over another.

Consider, if one who has the same opportunity you had to accept the Gift of Grace as you did, but they did not, and continued lost in their sins, then the case could be made that you were more wiser than that person, or you were less stubborn than that person, or you were more compliant with and cooperating with the Spirit of God than that one, and so if the question is posed to you, who maketh thee to differ from the other ? 1 Cor 4:7

7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Your only sincere reply could be, not the Grace of God in Election, but, You would say I made myself to differ with my own freewill. That is boasting, whether you like it or not, which is contrary to scripture testimony as to Salvation by Grace through Faith Eph 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

What the religionists does not know or understand, is that Grace is not merely a favorable disposition of God towards one, but it is actually God's Reigning Spiritual Power, even more so of a power than the reign of death ! Rom 5:21

21 That as sin hath reigned[exercised dominion] unto death, even so might grace reign[exercise dominion] through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

In fact, Grace is the Effectual Working of God's Power Eph 3:7

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

To say one can resist Salvation by Grace whom God Elected to Salvation, is saying that they could resist the day of their death when in God's time it comes to seize us ! Ecc 8:8

There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death

Preaching God's Sovereignty in Salvation is a must !

Preaching God's Sovereignty in Salvation is a must !

Preaching God's Sovereignty in Salvation is a must for True God honoring Gospel Preaching. For God's Sovereignty is His prerogative to do as He Pleases, and that especially in the matter of His Salvation and Damnation Rom 9:21

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

The word power here is the greek word exousia which means:

power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases

Like Psalms 115:3

3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Also See Dan 4:35 !

These scriptures especially Rom 9:21 convey the Truth of God's Sovereignty in Salvation and Damnation whether we like it, receive it or not ! Yes, that God has and did exercise His His Sovereign Right as to whom He Created for the Purpose of Salvation or a Vessel of Honor and whom He made for damnation a vessel of dishonor !

The word for honour here in Vs 21 is the greek word timē and means:

valuing by which the price is fixed

a) of the price itself

b) of the price paid or received for a person or thing bought or sold

2) honour which belongs or is shown to one

a) of the honour which one has by reason of rank and state of office which he holds

b) deference, reverence

Its the same word Peter uses here of believers 1 Pet 1:7

7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

This honour comes because they were by God Created Vessels of Honour Rom 9:21 !

But also lets look at the word dishonour. Its the greek word atimia and means:

dishonour, ignominy, disgrace

Also to be a disgrace, which means to be in a state without grace. The same word is used by Paul here 2 Tim 2:20

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Also this word has its OT correlation here Dan 12:2

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Notice that some shall awake to shame and everlasting contempt !

These Two words shame and contempt . The word shame cherpah :

reproach, scorn

a) taunt, scorn (upon enemy)

b) reproach (resting upon condition of shame, disgrace)

c) a reproach (an object)

The word contempt dĕra'own:

aversion, abhorrence

a feeling of extreme loathing or aversion

And these were Created by God for this Eternal Loathing by Him, as they were made by Him Vessels of dishonour Rom 9:21.

God made each group with their destinies sealed by His Eternal Purpose. To understand this, we must understand and embrace that God was not obligated to treat His creatures equally, for He does and did whatsover He pleased with them !

Preaching God's Sovereignty in Salvation is a must !2

Preaching God's Sovereignty in Salvation is a must !2

Some will complain, God is no respecter of persons, and aught He not give all the same treatment, and the answer is NO ! God ought not do anything but be who He is as God; and God does not show respecter of persons, for that would be only if God treated a people favorably to others because based on the outward appearance of others or anything in the objects treated with favor that the others do not have, but His Choice to show favor discriminately to some comes from motives in Himself. Also, those who hold that God's Chosen people are ethnic jews, they are actually the ones that charge God with having respect of persons to a people based upon racial ethnicity, their physical connection with Abraham according to the flesh. Now if that were True, God would be guilty of showing respect of persons !

James also gives us an idea of what constitutes respect of persons here James 2:1-4

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

You see that ? Showing respect of persons has to do with special treatment here to those with outward advantages, the rich man over the poor. The rich receives special treatment over the poor merely because of outward advantage.

Now that is respecter of persons, which cannot be charged unto God, even when He has chosen to treat His Chosen favorably and mercifully over how He treats the non elect, without mercy and in strict justice in accordance with their sins ! But with the Elect He chose to deal with them in mercy for their sins !

Repentance unto Life !

Repentance unto Life !

Acts 11:18

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

All whom God has given or granted Repentance unto Life, they are the ones the Gospel is sent to by the providence of God, and the Gospel when preached to them, it will be the power of God, they shall be persuaded of its Truth and that it is to them a Testimony 1 Tim 2:6

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Which testimony shall be confirmed in them 1 Cor 1:6

6 Even as the testimony [Gospel] of Christ was confirmed in you:

Jesus calls the Gospel a witness or Testimony Matt 24:14
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness or testimony unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Now the Repentance unto life bestowed upon some, changes their mind to believe and embrace the Truth, for Repentance granted by God in regards to the Truth is seen here 2 Tim 2:25

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Thats the outcome of Acts 11:18

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Its the same word give them repentance in 2 Tim 2:25 and here granted repentance. Its the greek word didōmi and means primarily:

to give

2) to give something to someone

a) of one's own accord to give one something, to his advantage

1) to bestow a gift

In fact to all Christ died for is granted repentance unto the acknowledging of the Truth, thats a benefit of His Death and Him being ones Saviour Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

If Christ died as one Saviour, then He was also exalted to God's Right Hand as their Saviour to give, grant, bestow upon them Repentance to Life or to the acknowledging of the Truth of the Gospel, and so the Gospel is sent unto them to hear it. Acts 28:28

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

They will hear it as to acknowledge it and embrace it as the Truth !

Election of Grace = Gospel of God's Grace !

Election of Grace = Gospel of God's Grace !

Acts 20:24

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Rom 11:5,6

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

And if by grace, then is it no more of works or conditions: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Now thats Good News ! The Election of Grace should be Preached or testified to in the Gospel of God's Grace, for without it, there would be no good news for Salvation ! t is a Truth that when applied by the Spirit of Truth, it Glorifies God and His Grace Eph 1:6

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

But it humbles the pride of man. This Truth of the Election of Grace gives us to realize / understand that all of ones Salvation is due solely to the unconditional Choice of us in Him Rom 9:11

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election [of grace] might stand, not of works or conditions, but of him that calleth )

That word works here covers a very broad spectrum to include anything we do as an condition to cause God to save us, whether believing or repenting or anything one does !
