Hi Dan and you are mistaken:

"Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus." (1 Pet.5:14).

Hi n Jerry and can you say from what what Peter said in 5:14 , and where does he say what it means to be " in CHRIST " ???????

Paul list at least 150 verses of what it means to be " in CHRIST ".

Luk 7:18-19 KJV And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. (19) And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

John the Baptist bore witness of Jesus Christ before Luke 7:18-19:

"John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me" (Jn.1:15).

"And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God" (Jn.1:32-34).

"And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased" (Lk.3:22).

I know that.

My point was that J the B is NOT the PATTERN for the body of Christ... that's Paul.

"So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another" (Ro.12:5).

When the expression "in Christ" or "in Christ Jesus" is used the reference is to being in the Body of Christ. And that is how it is used here:

"Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me" (Ro.16:7).

Paul was not the first member of the Body of Christ but he was the one who began the present dispensation when he preached the gospel of God's grace to the Gentiles.

Hi Jerry , so what does Peter , in 1 Peter 5:14 explain what being " in CHRIST " MEANS ?

Here is and example , Gal 3:28 where it say we ARE/ESTE " in CHRIST " ism in the Greek PRESENT TENSE where Paul is writing to the B O C and not to Israel !

If all believers are " in CHRIST " we are FOREVER SAVED !

There are no JEWS or GREEK , CAN NOT BE Bond or Free , cannot be MALE nor FEMALE as you all seem to MIX Jews and Gentiles together !

Paul has at least 150 " in CHRIST " VERSES , so how many does PETER record ?

Hi Jerry , so what does Peter , in 1 Peter 5:14 explain what being " in CHRIST " MEANS ?

If it doesn't mean being in the Body of Christ then what does it mean?

Don't you know that only those in the Body of Christ have their life in the Son:

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son" (1 Jn.5:11).

Because J the B was not even sure that Jesus was the Christ.

The question I answered was: "Who was the first believer in Christ?"

Do you deny that the Baptist was the first believer in Christ despite the fact that he declared that the Lord Jesus is the Son of God (Jn.1:34)?

Where does it say that Peter is in the BODY OF CHRIST ?

Dan, in the introduction found in the first epistle to the church at Corinth we read the following:

"Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's" (1 Cor.1:2).

Paul's words in this epistle were not just addressed to the church at Corinth but also to "all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord." That can only mean that Paul addressed this epistle to every Christian, whether they be Gentile or Jew, who were alive when he wrote this epistle.

And here is what he told those to whom he addressed this epistle:

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit" (1 Cor.12:13).

Paul tells all the believers on the face of the earth at that time that we are "all" baptized into the Body of Christ. That would include Peter.

Now please give me any evidennce from the Scriptures that teach that Peter is NOT in the Body of Christ.

John the Baptist.

You dont believe Abraham believed in Christ ? Jn 8:56

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

or Moses Heb 11:24-26

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Where does it say that Peter is in the BODY OF CHRIST ?

unlearned question, where does it say he wasnt in the body of Christ.

He was an apostle therefore a member of Christs body Eph 4:10-12

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

1 Cor 12:28

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

1 Cor 12

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. ...

The question was who was the first to believe in Christ, i.e. Jesus Christ. There were many who believed in a coming Messiah but none before John the Baptist believed specifically in Jesus Chriist."

Hi and where does it say that Peter was PLACED into the B O C .

In Gal 3:28 THERE CANNOT BE / ENI , JEWS or Greeks in the B O C , just up and down for me !

Peter will sit on 1/12 of a throne to judge Israel , and NOT in the HEAVENILLES , can you believe that !!!
