Hypocrisy in its purest form is found where Jesus is addressing a group of Hypocrites. They were Priests, and High Priest and other mighty men of the Law. -- They sought to destroy Jesus, - Luke 19:47 KJV --- and they sought to kill him and Lazarus, - John 12:10 KJV – They called Jesus names, and blasphemed him every way possible before it was his time to die. Jesus was very fearful of being stoned, or put to death by the sword, or cast to the lions. Christ knew he HAD to be crucified, because that‘s the death that was prophesied, - Psalms 22:16 KJV – “The wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet”. ---- That’s who the hypocrites are, while pretending to be righteous. The hypocrites can speak nothing but guile toward the righteous, it’s always been that way, from righteous Abel, to Stephen whom they stoned, and Mary Magdalene whom they cast to the lions, and the Apostle Paul, and the Apostle John, whom they slew with a Sword three days before the Resurrection, about AD 70.
There is no difference between the Hypocrites then and now. They all despise those who teach the Word of God as it’s written. The teachings of Christ or the Christians, infringe on the foolishness of all the hypocrites. - They are much wiser than anyone, in their own minds.
It is commanded that the Christian take the Word of God and correct those in error, by rebuking and reproving them, - 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV – “All scripture IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, and IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS”. ---- Proverbs 9:8-9 KJV – “Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9- Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning”. ---- Some are hypocrites, and some have good and honest hearts. – Look around to your friends who stick together, and support the foolishness of the Hypocrites. They are what the hold to. - The blind leading the blind.
You cannot correct or reprove a hypocrite, you can try to rebuke one of them, however, it’s like rebuking the Devil, it just doesn’t work with the most evil among us. When Jesus cursed and called them snakes, serpents and hypocrites, we know that is more hateful than most other sins against Christ or the Christians. -- Rebuke, reprove, or correct a Hypocrite? - NO! - It cannot be done. What makes a hypocrite is that they are not only divided from the truth, they are divided within themselves. They pretend to be Godly, but speak like the Devil, being the Demons they are. - That’s considering that there are Demons and Saints, - they are counter parts of Christ and Satan.
Hypocrisy / the Hypocrite is the sum of the evil, as is “Love thy neighbor as thyself”, is the sum of righteousness. ---- “Shall we find Faith on the earth”? – Come On! - Look around and see if your friends are what they say they are in Christ. – James 3:17-18 KJV – “THE WISDOM THAT IS FROM ABOVE IS FIRST PURE, THEN PEACEABLE, GENTLE, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, WITHOUT PARTIALITY, AND WITHOUT HYPOCRISY. 18- And the fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SOWN IN PEACE OF THEM THAT MAKE PEACE”. – That’s also calling it like it is. One cannot teach without calling evil, evil, and evil is as evil does.
