  • NONE OTHER NAME

Acts 4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Peter and John were preaching Jesus and faith in him unto eternal life (John 20:31). They were preaching his resurrection, and how that would ensure the resurrection of believers, and the coming Davidic kingdom on earth promised to the nation of Israel (Luke 12:32). There is, however, no mention here of the cross of Christ Jesus; no mention of Jesus's sacrificial death, no mention of Jesus being delivered for our offences and raised for our justification. It is the gospel of the kingdom plus the resurrection of Christ, which is the gospel of the Circumcision, being preached (Galatians 2:7).

4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Peter is preaching the gospel of the Circumcision and the assurance of the coming Kingdom through Christ's resurrection. He is still preaching faith in the name of Jesus, that Jesus is the Son of God and the Christ. Israel had to believe on Jesus to have eternal life; it was then required that they confess him (Matthew 10:32 Romans 10:9), be baptized (Mark 16:16), and keep the statutes to enter the coming earthly Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:20 Matthew 5:18 Ezekiel 36:27).

4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Naming Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God was required for Jews to have eternal life. Salvation was by the name of Jesus at that time. Although verse 12 is to the Jews, it is also for us. We can also acknowledge that it is only by Jesus Christ that we have eternal life. It is through faith in Christ Jesus alone and his complete provision for our forgiveness, justification, and righteousness unto eternal life.

Jesus Christ by means of his Father name Jehovah that is.

(Acts 4:12) Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”

No other name under heaven means just that, under heaven, Jehovah the father deserves all the glory.

Both state something your missing or you wouldn't be asking how is that, the word "in" is the one that connects these verses concerning the Christ within, Jesus taught the same mystery John 14:11, Luke 17:21, Christ speaking through Jesus scolded the religious ruler for not knowing the kingdom was within the conscience/light John 1:9, Matt 23:13, Romans 2:28-29. in, in , in, in, Colossians 1:27, not among, or in your midst, but in you the child of God progressing in knowledge about that one hope playing out in you Galatians 4:1, that is the Christ man can't see or receive while looking for a Christ of flesh to come Matt 11:11, 2 Corinthians 5:16, 1 John 4:2.
