Whats redemption through Christ ?

Annexed with this redemption through Christ, strictly by His death is forgiveness of sins. Lets look at two scriptures where this is true Eph 1:7

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Col 1:14

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

The elect have these blessings before they even realize it, redemption and forgiveness of sins. There's no such thing as Christ dying for one and they dont as a result have redemption and forgiveness through His Blood, because its through Christ alone.

Peter is clear “WHOEVER believes in Him will receive remission of sins” Acts 10:43

Had them baptized...having faith they did so...

“In every nation WHOEVER fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” Acts 10:35

If it is all predestined why the commission to reach them?

Now since those Christ died for are by that fact alone redeemed and that from spiritual death, it necessitates that they must be given spiritual life as proof, evidence that Christ has by His Blood redeemed them. Thats why Hes termed a quickening Spirit here in 1 Cor 15:45

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

The word quickening here zóopoieó which means:

I make that which was dead to live, cause to live, quicken.

Now those Christ died for and redeemed He as proof of being their risen redeemer gives them life, causes them to live spiritually, by giving them The Spirit, because in the name of Christ He quickens or gives life Jn 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Its impossible for any sinner Christ died for to remain spiritually dead in sin !

So those Christ redeems through His death, He hath redeemed them from death and the curse because those are penalties for sin. This being the case, all for whom He redeemed are given the Spirit which gives them Life Gal 3:13-14

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Redemption from the curse of the Law brings down the blessing of Abraham, which is the Spirit, which gives Life to the redeemed, both jew and gentile elect.

Gal 4:4-6

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Again redemption brings Spiritual life from Christ through the Spirit.

Its redemption from death. Those Christ died for have been delivered from, redeemed from death. Theres three types:

Spiritual, Physical, and Eternal. The reason being, as was displayed earlier, redemption is from the penalty of sin. The word apolutrósis:

everywhere in the N. T. metaphorically, viz. deliverance effected through the death of Christ from the retributive wrath of a holy God and the merited penalty of sin:

Death is but the penalty of sin see Rom 6:23a

Death is an enemy, Speaking of physical death Paul writes about its destruction 1 Cor 15:26

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Hosea 13:14

will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will
redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Now though this may refer to physical death, it cant be limited to it, Christ death redeems all for whom He died from all death that has to do with the result of their sins.

Frankly speaking its a serious slight on Christs redeeming death to teach that anyone He died for remains Spiritually dead, goes into the second death, or who dies physically under Gods condemnation and never rises out of physical death glorified with Christ.

Yes, such is the error of man's religion, teaching that Christ's Redeeming Death was in behalf of all without exception, yet His death failed to redeem all whom He died for out of Spiritual Death. So that's where the error lies in that false teaching, for it's blasphemy against the Redeeming Death of Christ to not save all for whom it was intended when scripture is clear that many shall remain under God's condemnation and go into the second death to pay the price for their own sins Rev. 21:8.

So true, because it's only once those Christ died for are quickened by the Spirit, that they are enabled to obey the Gospel Commands of Faith and Repentance, which is impossible for the natural [in the flesh] to do.

Rom. 8:7-8

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

So as a consequence of the Spirit giving the redeemed Spiritual Life from Christ, they are enabled to believe , embrace, trust in the Good news of their Salvation, because Faith is the fruit of Christs Spirit dwelling in them Gal 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

This is a primary reason why the redeemed are given the Spirit, to produce in the redeemed, faith, and faithfulness, which is a continuing to live by Faith!

Amen Brother ! Christ's Redeeming Death brings about Spiritual Adoption for all the Chosen Adopted Sons / Children of God Eph. 1:4-5, the promised Covenant Blessing of the Spirit coming into their hearts.

Ezek. 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

For the Promise of receiving the Spirit of Adoption Gal. 4:4-6; Gal. 3:13-14 is the result of, and proof that one has been redeemed by the death of Christ !

Hence, Justification by Faith Rom. 5:1.

Rom. 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

So thats why again the redeemed shall believe, since they receive the Spirit with Spiritual Life which produces Faith/Believing. Notice 1 Pet 1:18-22

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Notice the words in Vs 21 "Who by him do believe in God" speaking of the redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb.

Now they by Him [His redemptive death/blood] do believe in God, produces their Faith and Hope in God, who raised Christ from the dead.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

This obeying the Truth, Faith is through or by means of the Spirit, similar to when Peter wrote in 1 Pet 1:2

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

And when Paul wrote 2 Thess 2:13

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

This is the fruit of redemption through Christ.

Rom. 8:7-8

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Impossible? They obeyed and the Spirit descended...they obeyed by remaining in jerusalem and gathering for Pentecost...

Peter was clear Spirit was given to those who OBEY...Acts 5:32

States later “the Holy Spirit came on them AS HE HAD COME ON US AT THE BEGINNING” Act 11:15

“So if God gave them the same gift he gave us WHO BELIEVED in the Lord Jesus Christ...” verse 17

“So then even to the Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life” verse 18

Greeks TURNED TO THE LORD verse 21 Barnabas encouraged them all to REMAIN TRUE TO THE LORD WITH ALL THEIR HEARTS verse 23

Barnabas WAS A GOOD MAN full of the Holy Spirit because of it verse 24...you know devout like Cornelius

Cornelius himself was devout faithful feared Yah...gave alms...FASTED...IS WHY he was blessed...finally hearing Peter about One resurrected...and was saved...

Amen, just as you have shown according to Scripture, Spiritual Life / Sanctification of the Spirit, must precede Faith / Believing and Obeying the Truth, and it's exclusively Given to the Redeemed, the Election of Grace Rom. 11:5; God's Elect 1 Pet. 1:2 which were Saved according to the Power of God according to His Purpose and Grace which was given them in Christ Jesus before the world began 2 Tim. 1:8-9 !
