Christ's redemptive death only for some !

One of the most popular false teachings today is that Jesus Christ died for everyone without exception. This however is a deception and contradicts the teaching of scripture. See one of the effects of Christ's redemptive death is that everyone for whom He died, that is was made a curse for, was that they were redeemed from the curse of the Law Gal 3:13

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,[how?] being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Now how were they redeemed from the curse of the law ? It was not by Faith in Christ !
It was by Christ being made a curse for them, speaking of His Death.

Now, heres how we know Christ's redemptive death wasnt for all without exception, its because some are under the curse of the Law as per Gal 3:10

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

The curse here is referring to the curse of the Law, which those Christ died for have been redeemed from !

Amen, and as evidence that Christ has redeemed them He died for from the curse of the Law, they shall be given Faith John 3:27; Gal. 5:22 in New Birth and receive the Blessing of Abraham.

Gal. 4:4-7

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

This thread presents a plain revealed truth. Those Christ died for, or was made a curse for, they have been redeemed from the curse of the law Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

The us here is jew and gentile believers, Abrahams Seed which belongs to Christ Gal 3:29

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Now we know all have not been redeemed from the curse because of Pauls words written here Gal 3:10

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Hence Christ didnt die for them since they are under the curse !

Yes, they remain cursed because God's Wrath has not been appeased for them by Christ's death. Consequently, they remain under the law, the covenant of works, and shall be judged accordingly Jas. 2:10; Gal. 3:10 and be condemned to the second death.

You're understanding of the atonement is Catholic where Christ is seen as dying for sins(plural). Christ made one atonement for sin and that one sin is unbelief. Unbelief is the root cause of all sin so all sins(plural) spring from the one sin of unbelief. One of the most powerful promises in the new covenant is that God has forgiven our iniquity and remembered our sins no more. If Christians believed this one promise all the confessional booths in all the high and mighty churches around the world would be shuttered over night, there would be no need for them. The one sin that never gets confessed in any confessional booth is the sin of unbelief where men refuse to believe the good news that all sin has been forgiven in Christ and it was forgiven before it was confessed.

Christ died for all sin and all sinners but his death is only efficacious for those who believe. An atonement that is unlimited and limited at the same time. This is why I am such an excellent debater. When Noobs like you focus on one aspect I focus on the opposite and so on and so on. I can't believe that no one ever catches on but they never do.

We know that Christ's Redemptive Death was limited to only some, that some being all whom His death redeemed from all iniquity and purified unto Himself a peculiar people Titus 2:14

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Now if we teach that Christ died for some that didnt get purified unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of God works, then we teach that His redemptive death failed the purpose of God ! And thats a horrible Blasphemy !

Exactly! And the same false prophets teach that the efficacy of Christ's Blood to purify His People is dependent upon the will of man, which is also Blasphemy, antichrist!

According to Acts 20:28 who was specifically purchased with Gods own Blood ?

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

That word purchased is the greek word
peripoieō and means:

  1. to make to remain over
  2. to reserve, to leave or keep safe, lay by
  3. to make to remain for one's self
  4. to preserve for one's self
  5. to get for one's self, purchase

Its also compatible with the verse in Isa 43:21

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

    See the greek word
peripoieō is made up of two words peri and the other poieō which means to:

    to make
    1. with the names of things made, to produce, construct, form, fashion, etc.

He forms them for Himself, those He purchased with His Own Blood.

Now according to Acts 20:28 who is God specifically speaking of ?

God is specifically speaking of His Election of Grace: His Church Eph. 5:25, or His Sheep John 10:11; the People Mat. 1:21; Is. 45:17 which He gained possession of with His own blood Mat. 1:21, and which consist of only a remnant of all mankind that He reserved for Himself, made reconciled to Him by the Blood of Christ while they were being His enemies.

Rom. 5:8-10

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Those sinners Christ died for and redeemed them by His Blood will be regenerated by the Spirit, or receive a New Birth, two scriptures verify that Gal 3:13-14

3 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Amen, and it's the exact same regeneration that God's Elect Abraham experienced and was given Faith, a fruit of the Spirit Gal. 5:22, to Believe in an Heavenly Inheritance Heb. 11:8, 16.

Abraham and his Spiritual Seed are the Seed of Christ Gal. 3:16, 29, Chosen In Union with Him to have remission / forgiveness of sins and redemption by His Blood from the curse of the Law to an Eternal Inheritance, even before the foundation of the world Eph. 1:4-11.

And so, as a confirmation of their Election in Christ, every Son of His Seed, shall receive the Adoption of Sons by His Spirit coming into their hearts crying Abba, Father!

Another scripture that indicates that Christ redemptive death was only for some opposed to the lie today that it was for everyone Matt 20:28

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

The word many here, though it means a large quanity, it also means partial to the whole. It can never mean everyone without exception !

Now what about when its written He gave His Life a ransom for all in 1 Tim 2:6

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time

Is this a contradiction ? Of course not. It just simply means He gave Himself for all of that large quanity of many in Matt 20:28

See, though the word many cant mean everyone without exception, but a very large quanity, a partial to the whole, the word all in 1 Tim 2:6 can and often does mean all of a part, or all of many. Its the word pas and means:

  1. collectively
    1. some of all types

It means all as in the totality of many !

So its poor hermeneutics to take a word like all in one text and force it to mean something that would contradict the clear teaching of another text , which is about the same subject matter. Hence the word many can never mean everyone without exception as per Matt 20:28 wherein the word all can mean a limited collective whole of many !

Exactly! For instance, when we use the biblical hermeneutic of comparing scripture with scripture 1 Cor. 2:13, we are able to understand that the Many of Mat. 20:28 that Christ gave His life a ransom for is the same Many of Rom. 5:19:

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Hence, Christ gave His Life a ransom for All of the Many whom He made righteous by His Obedience on their behalf!

Excellent Sister. I would add that the all in Rom 5:18 represents the many in Rom 5:19!
