Some Comfort For The Christian's Soul, Mind, And Heart.

The following has been a comfort to my soul and I repeat it
to myself often as a devotional reaffirmation of my Christian
faith:

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and
earth and in the Lord Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who
was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was crucified dead and buried. The third
day He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now
sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, from whence
He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the
Holy Spirit, the holy universal Christian Church, the communion
of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. I believe in the Sovereignty of God and pray
to the Sovereign God for Mercy and Grace on the merits of Christ.
O Lord protect and bless all your people. In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, One God in Three Persons,
Blessed Trinity. Amen."

I "put it together" borrowing a lot of words and phrases from
The Apostle's Creed and from other Christian creeds as well.

Another Blessing Upon The People Of God.

The Lord said to Moses, tell Aaron
and his sons (who were the priests
of Israel) this is how you are to bless
my people Israel. Say to them:

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face shine upon you.
May the Lord be gracious unto you.
May the Lord turn his face toward you.
May the Lord give you peace.
Based upon Num. 6:24-26

Yet another blessing for the people of God:

The Sovereign God makes a righteous discrimination
between His people and people who are not His people.

"The only place it did not hail was in the land Of Goshen
where the Israelites were." Ex.9:26

"... I will deal differently
with the land of Goshen,
where my people live;
no swarms of flies will be there,
so that you will know that I,
the Lord, am in this land.
I will make a distinction
between my people and
your people.
Ex. 8:22-23

May the Lord bless and protect we His
people in these troubled times. Amen.

Some More Comfort For The Christian Soul:

JAGG Writes:
"God is Sovereign over the affairs of men. This is the underlying assumption built into
this verse of Holy Scripture: "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
We are a mist that appears for a short time and then vanishes away, yet the Sovereign
God is in absolute control of our lives while we are here upon the Earth. He is our Father,
we are His children, he loves us, knows what is best for us, and watches over us. And
he has a plan for us. Its an enormous comfort to the soul to everyday say these words
as a prayer: "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." Speaking this simple
verse to ourselves every day, as we make our plans, is a faith builder within our hearts
and minds. God is Sovereign and he is in control of our today's and our tomorrow's."__JAGG

Here is the whole passage:

"Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend
a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what
will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while
and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and
do this or that.” { James 4:13-15 }
