THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND

Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus said the time is fulfilled. Jesus did not say the time will be fulfilled.

Has Christ established his kingdom in heaven? Obviously not, we are still on earth.

Has Christ established his kingdom on earth? Obviously not, Christ is not ruling in Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2-3 Luke 1:32-33).

Jesus was offering the kingdom to Israel, but they rejected him (John 1:11-12). The gospel of the kingdom of God, was at that time at hand, if Israel believed the gospel. This was not the gospel that we are to believe, it was not the cross, it was not the gospel that Christ died for our sins and rose for our justification unto eternal life (Romans 4:25).

The offer of the kingdom was withdrawn until a later time (Romans 11:25-27), and was interrupted by this dispensation of grace (Ephesians 3:2).

Thanks. This is very well put together. "Near but not yet" and not until the angels of revelation 16 begin pouring their bowls over the earth. 😇

"the time is fulfilled." The Messiah has come. Jesus came taught and gave Himself sacrifice for our sins on the cross.

"the kingdom of God is at hand." The kingdom is approaching, but first there will be the wars and plauges.
