  • Washington Post: Trump asked for Barr to host news conference clearing him on Ukraine

President Donald Trump asked that Attorney General William Barr hold a news conference clearing him of legal wrongdoing with regard to his phone call pressuring the Ukrainian President to investigate Democrats -- but Barr refused, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.
Citing people familiar with the matter, the paper reported that Trump's request came sometime around the White House's September 25 release of a transcript of the call. It was conveyed to White House officials and then the Justice Department. Trump has brought up Barr's refusal to aides over the past few weeks and how he wishes the attorney general had held the news conference, Trump advisers told the Post.

It appears that his people are starting to notice how Trump rewards loyalty.

I wonder how long it will be before he dumps Barr ...

He also thinks CNN is a valid, unbiased, news source. Project Veritas has proven that isn't true. They have proven that CNN is run by a virulent Trump hater who has turned many of his own organization against him with his corruption of an organization they once loved to work for. But then you expect two Trump haters to think alike. Barbie and Zucker, two of a kind.

Like Bolton, who wrote that he wasn't going to be part of that "drug deal" when he distanced himself from the quid pro quo being attempted in Ukraine, Barr seems to now realize that Trump wants him to risk his freedom and fortune supporting Trump, but will throw him under the bus as soon as it seems to offer Trump some advantage.

Barr should be smart enough to realize that the more one spends in the service of this President, attempting to placate this "stable genius" - the more it will take you down that slippery slope" which invariably leads to the commission of criminal acts!

Manafort, Flynn, Gates, Cohen, Stone, Giuliani - all are either in prison, making plea deals with the FBI, currently before the courts, under investigation and/or hoping far a presidential pardon as a direct result of their association with Donald J Trump!

Should one be so disloyal as to attempt to retain some semblance of their integrity they, like Jeff Sessions, will be publically vilified and unceremoniously cast aside for not totally surrendering their heart and soul to the whims of "The Donald!"

Unfortunately, it’s too late for Bar. His place as the most corrupt and political AG in history is set in stone.
