The Good that Child Protective Services Does

Let me tell you my experience with CPS.

My stepdaughter married an abuser at age 17 over my objections. I told my wife she was making a huge mistake to allow her daughter to marry the guy. Her reply was that I was just mean and unforgiving because my stepdaughter's boyfriend hadn't hit her for a few weeks so he was now a changed person. ***rolls eyes***

Anyway, after a few years of the marriage of my stepdaughter a few things come out that I was not told about when they happened. Her husband had stabbed my stepdaughter, and later broke the orbital bone in her face by hitting her with a 1/2 gallon stainless steel thermos full of coffee. He would smack her around on a regular basis and had gotten her hooked on opiates by supplying her with contraband opiates he was dealing to deal with the pain of her injuries rather than allowing her to go to the doctor. This was now more than a decade into their marriage and my step daughter was exhibiting all the signs of battered wife syndrome.

I need to back up a bit and give more of the back story. This jackal knocked up my stepdaughter a couple of years before they got married and then talked her into getting an abortion. He drove her to Seattle--took off while both my wife and I were at work--got her into an abortion clinic, aborted the baby and then drove back home the same day. When they got to our place he pushed her out of the car and drove away with her standing there crying. He's just a real prince of a fellow. I wasn't told any of this for a couple of years. My wife wouldn't tell me and neither would my step kids until after my stepdaughter married the jerk.

Now back to more recent times. This guy would eat everything his wife brought home for their kids. He's done stuff like sit down and drink 2 gallons of milk at a setting, bought through WIC funds not his wages, just so his kids couldn't have milk to drink. Today he is a pilot who flies small commercial jets. My stepdaughter works for the Post Office. He spends all his money on himself and she pays all their bills out of her wages from the Post Office. He supplies nothing for his own kids. And his kids absolutely hate him. His only son pulled a hunting rifle on him once when he was smacking my step daughter around and told him to leave or he'd shoot the jerk. At age 10. The jerk left for a couple of weeks because he realized his kid was absolutely serious.

What finally caused my wife to tell me was what happened at the birth of my stepdaughter's last child. She had a bad time with delivery and was in the hospital for a couple of weeks. My wife went up to help her out when she got out of the hospital. Turns out her husband didn't even show up to get her from the hospital. He went to play poker instead. My wife got her daughter to her house and when they walked into the house the smell of dog crap was really strong. The jerk had left his dog inside the entire time she was in the hospital and it had left piles all over the floor. To add insult to that he had ground a bunch of those piles into the carpet to make them even harder to clean up. And, as wood was their only source of heat he had left the woodbox empty and used all the kindling. This was in November in northern Washington and it was down around freezing every night. So, my wife and her physically unfit daughter had to go out and chop wood, make kindling, clean up all the piles of crap and those that were smeared into the carpet.

The jerk showed up hours later knocked his kids around and left. I heard this story two days later and when I did I called CPS. Their response? You weren't there to see it so we aren't even going to go talk to anyone and we could care less about his history of violence. They told me that if I kept pushing them that they would tell this jerk who had turned him in. I told them that was no big deal because I had already told him myself that if he abused his wife and kids anymore I was going to turn him in. Their reply? Oh, you shouldn't do that it might put your life in danger. And that after threatening me that they would tell him who turned him in.

The upshot of it all CPS refused to do anything. They wouldn't even investigate anything. So, the "good that CPS does" is a carefully crafted mythology.

Could you tell me what State that was in? The reason I ask is because CPS bureaus in every respective county in every State are required by law to investigate child abuse allegations. If this person refused to do so, he or she could have been brought up on criminal charges besides being fired.

I spend a fair amount of time in Libertarian websites discussing with Libertarians how destructive drug use is, and they constantly tell me that it's a "victimless crime". Tell that to the beaten and dead children, some of them babies, who were brutally murdered at the hands of these drug addicts.

You have been told repeatedly that I am not a Libertarian. That I disagree with their views on social issues. So stop with the implied assumption that I am a Libertarian. You know better and you've been told this repeatedly.

Hmmm.... Just how many of these cases does it take to make up for the thousands of kids they have placed in danger of death, and even worse, living death. Does all this "good" relieve them of the guilt of the rest of their behavior? How's this for evidence of corruption? The whistleblower's bosses were harassing him for trying to get things done that were left undone. His bosses would have happily left 93 cases covered over and ignored. That is not an isolated incident either.

A Northern Kentucky social service worker has filed a whistleblower lawsuit, claiming he experienced retaliation and harassment from supervisors after he reported problems, including that 93 cases of alleged child abuse or neglect had been misplaced and not investigated for months.
Tim Williams, a 14-year employee with the Cabinet for Health and Family Service in its Northern Bluegrass service region, had an exemplary record but began experiencing retaliation — including an abrupt job transfer — immediately after he reported management problems, according to his lawsuit filed Tuesday in Boone Circuit Court.
His lawyer, Kelly Wiley, said Williams is most disturbed over the 93 cases of alleged child abuse and neglect that sat untouched for months. While social service officials have since assigned the cases to investigators, some of the families and children can no longer be located, Wiley said.
“His main concern is to find out what happened and to make sure it never happens again,” Wiley said.
State officials with the cabinet’s social service agency, the Department for Community Based Services, say they have launched an investigation into the missing cases and other matters in the Northern Kentucky region.
The lawsuit comes as the state’s 12-county Northern Bluegrass region has been roiled by other controversies, including the recent case of a worker who was suspended for checking on a child whose case had been closed even as another worker who closed the case was suspended for failing to act on serious allegations of abuse and neglect involving the same child.

How about this from an investigative reporter looking into problem with CPS? How many kids does CPS need to help so that those kids they betray don't matter?

I am presently in touch with two former CPS agents, one senior analyst for a war college and two mainstream publications who are investigating many of the same allegations that I am going to bring forth in the next two articles. For now, I am not publishing names, however, this may soon change and names and exact positions may indeed be identified.
[h=2]Disturbing Reports from CPS Insiders[/h] I was recently contacted by a pair of former CPS agents who became thoroughly disgusted with the present state of affairs. Initially, I was told that Dave, you are spot on with your assessment regarding the nature and intent of CPS’s planned enforcement of the concern’s delineated in the manual entitled, “Child Neglect: A Guide for Prevention Assessment, and Intervention”.
One of the CPS agents proceeded to use the term “concerns” because this manual merely provides a very subjective coverage of the “definition” of neglect/abuse/ children and its subsequent impact. The issues detailed in this “user manual” will be enforced using Obamacare as a legal means to carry out what amounts to tyranny. This is exactly what I recently reported on my website.
[h=2]The Prime Directive of CPS Is To Steal Children[/h] Both CPS agents admitted to the fact that they were very familiar with the tactics and strategies utilized by the modern day CPS’ as they attempt to seize as many children as possible. The CPS (Obamacare) “user manual” was designed “so as to give broad authoritarian powers to CPS caseworkers.
Both CPS agents stated that they witnessed many of the cases they investigated as trivial or, “merely parental oversight” and not worthy of CPS intervention and child seizure. Some CPS caseworkers would issue “founded allegations of parental neglect” for something as trivial as one ounce of marijuana that was mistakenly found by their child”. The other former agent stated that they watched co-workers fabricate allegations by citing signs of “child neglect” as they would report that the children were allowed to roam the streets all hours of the day and night even though no such report had been reported to CPS . Neglect allegations are the fall back position of a CPS agent and are usually “all made up”.
[h=2]CPS Has a Quota System For Child Theft[/h] According to one of CPS informants, they had a quota system just like cops do with the only difference being difference that kids were going to be stolen instead of citizens merely receiving speeding tickets.
Overzealous teachers and doctors proved to be fertile sources of reporting parental wrongdoing. State laws mandate that teachers and doctors must report all suspected parental wrongdoing. Once CPS received such a report, there was a good chance that a child was going to be removed from the home as “arrangements would be made for transfer of “temporary custody” before the CPS agents ever left the office to visit the home. One of the CPS agents complained that her supervisors operated on an informal quota system.”If 100 child abuse/neglect were reported, 75 children were going to be taken from their mothers”.

You have been told repeatedly that I am not a Libertarian.

This has nothing to do with you, because you disown Libertarianism, you've told me this numerous times.
That being addressed: Recreational drug use and alcoholism leads to child abuse, so there are victims when Libertarians say that recreational drug use is a "victimless crime".

Hopefully it will come to the attention of the Governor of Kentucky and other high profile politicians in that State so that the problems can be resolved.

I'm not sure what the article has to do with whether or not government services that investigate child abuse are needed.

This is exactly what I [David Hodges] recently reported on my website.
The Prime Directive of CPS Is To Steal Children

http://republicbroadcasting.org/col...ild-abductions-cps-insiders-blow-the-whistle/

...CPS Has a Quota System For Child Theft

Wow, that's very informative. I hope that Alex Jones David Hodges contacts the appropriate authorities of each and every State here in the US (start at the top Dave by contacting the Governor of each State, and if you don't get positive results there, the United States Attorney General) and let them know that their Child Protective Services "has a quota system for child theft".

I've been meaning to ask: With all of your posts (both in the thread that you started and in this one), what's the alternative to State run Child Protective Service agencies, or do you even have one?

So the drugs or alcohol abuses the child!? Got it.

Take it up with this TOL'er:

...I am not a libertarian and know well from personal experience what kinds of abuse alcoholics do to their kids. I would never say that drug and alcohol abuse are victimless crimes. They are not. The victims of alcohol and drug abuse are so common it's impossible to walk down the street and not see some of them.

Psssst, tell ffreeloader that David Hodges, one of the sources that he used, is Libertarian.

The question that needs to be asked is this:

Why is the Libertarian movement behind closing down child protective services?

As I pointed out in one of my "Why Homosexuality MUST Be Recriminalized!" threads, the founder of the modern day Libertarian movement, Murray Rothbard, wrote in an article that parents have the right to starve their handicapped baby to death.

When Rothbard's expiration date came up and he went to spend eternity in the opposite place where murdered babies go, his replacement was Walter Block, who wrote a scenario where it would be acceptable for a starving father to sell his son to a member of NAMBLA for food.

My point? The Libertarian movement sees children as property, disposable property at that and therefore doesn't like it when people and agencies protect those children from harm.

Thanks jack Perry

There was once a time when kids could be kids and the “government” was just some vague, boring thing parents talked about. But now the State wants to be involved in the raising of children and, at some point, will more than likely want to be the ones raising them. There was a time when the only government people you saw in the classroom were firefighters handing out coloring books about fire safety and talking about what to do in case of a fire. You’d go out and see the fire truck, they’d crank up the siren, and all the kids were happy. Now we’ve got federal government politicians coming around almost daily to schools to glorify the virtues of the State to the kids. I suppose next we’ll see the military bringing tanks and helicopter gunships to grade schools to awe the kiddies about the power of the State. That may already be happening for all I know. But that’s the future.

Back on the American Frontier, a 10 year-old was expected to know how to load and fire accurately a flintlock rifle, which is a multi-step process anyone who’s fired this weapon can attest to. These kids were expected to know this and help defend the homestead against attack by hostiles. There was no calling the cops back then and the government was hundreds of miles away and not overly concerned with inserting themselves into every aspect of peoples’ lives. Kids were expected to go out with that flintlock rifle and hunt for the family table, because dad was plowing and mom was sewing their clothes, or making soap to bathe with, or baking bread. If you want supper, you better go shoot it, son. That 10 year old might go beyond a mile from the homestead. Gee, how did this country ever make it? And a kid with a—shudder, shudder—GUN!! Oh, no! Yeah, and nowadays, let a 10 year old draw a gun on a piece of paper in class and the school calls the cops and child psychologists and the kid gets expelled for “gun violence”.

While I would love to reminisce about the good ole days, a time before recreational drugs, pornography and all kinds of sick and harmful behaviors were embraced by society as some kind of "right", please stick to the topic of the thread: Child abuse and the protection of those children by government agencies.
