I can't help but notice you didn't answer Tinark's excellent question

Barwick tells World Magazine that her relationship with her “other mother” was awkward and that she just “couldn’t choose to love another woman as my parent.”

That is because ... the woman is not *her* parent. Her other *parent* abandoned her.

This story isn't really any different than kids whose parents divorce and one goes on to marry (someone of the opposite sex), and the child doesn't like his/her step-parent.

The evil step-father or step-mother. So it's one of two things: Either this woman wished to have a step-father OR she wanted her parents to live in a volatile, loveless marriage.

And, furthermore, a large part of her issues are a result of the sham nature of the relationship between her mother and father. If same sex relationships and marriages are seen as a viable option for lesbians, a lesbian woman will be far less likely to enter into a sham relationship with a man and have a kid within such a relationship that inevitably leads to a broken home.

She seems to get this one completely bass-ackwards
