Some journalists push back against airing President Trump's coronavirus briefings; reaction and analysis on 'The Five.'

The media, or I should say much of the media, truly is the enemy of the people.

Apparently Mike Pence has been pushed aside as the "face" for the federal government's response to CONVIR-19 - Trump's daily briefings are thinly-veiled infomercials for the 2020 Campaign!

Perhaps this President felt Governor Cuomo was getting too much air time and wanted to be the centre of attention when announcing every mask, gown and ventilator that the federal government givien to the states!

Just like taking responsibility for increases in the DOW, placing oneself front and centre during a pandemic can be a risky business when promises don't accurately reflect he quantity of medical supplies being delivered - once they fall short of the national demand Trump will find himself in the middle of a "firestorm!"

News outlets are considering dropping Trump's coronavirus briefings because Trump insists on putting out false and misleading information on the virus that is dangerous to the public:

KUOW in Seattle announced this week it would no longer air the president’s coronavirus briefings live because its journalists could not correct Trump’s “false information” and “exaggeration” fast enough. “It is imperative that they are fact-checked, which is a challenge during a live broadcast,” the station said in a statement, denying that the decision was “politically based.”
The NPR affiliate explained that allowing Trump to use its platform failed to serve listeners and may have risked the community’s health and safety.

Fox News fired Trish Regan today. The conservative news host ignited controversy earlier this month when she dismissed the coronavirus pandemic as a conspiracy to throw President Trump out of office. -- https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/tr...cid=spartandhp

I wonder what "The Five" have to say about that!

Political rhetoric aside, the President's briefings are important news. It isn't a news company's choice to abstain from presenting them. Neither is it the media's job to peddle their opinions as they do constantly. Their job is merely to report facts and nothing more. Giving opinions and taking sides is not what they were designed for. Thank God for alternatives to the fake news networks.

Nope. God doesn't take attendance. I'm not taking any risks in spreading disease.

Best you don't listen to the president's advice then.

‘The Five’ slams media for trying to shutdown Trump’s coronavirus briefings

This President is still preoccupied with his ratings and whether the states' governors are appreciative enough for the federal government aid they receive!

April is going to be a critical month - Trump's opponents should want him televised 24/7 to keep demonstrating that its still all about him and his denials of statements that he had just made days earlier!

CNN reported yesterday that Trump's approval numbers are currently at the highest point ever in his presidency

I wonder where poor senile old Joe Biden's numbers are?

The networks should televise the coronavirus briefings as long as Trump is willing to act presidential - the moment he reverts back to conducting himself as if he was at one of his rallies demeaning his opponents and throwing"red meat" to his base, they should cut him off for that day!

The networks need to show this President that free daily national coverage during prime time is a privilege not a right and the moment he crosses the line by engaging in partisan politics, is the moment that day's coverage is terminated - unless of course the Republican Party is willing to purchase that time as a political infomercial!

Well, you just go on shaking your fist at the networks and telling them what they "should" do, what they "need" to do - I'm sure they'll be super impressed by an impotent little Canadian screaming at them on the internet

Given that this President and his associates have continued to receive the free, televised, daily briefings that they craved, why can't they give the nation a straight answer as to why they have refused to extend the enrollment period for Obamacare!

With 10 million Americans having lost their jobs and their medical coverage over the past 2 weeks due to COVIR-19 lock-down of nonessential businesses, that has created a huge void in healthcare coverage for the average American worker and their families through no fault of their own!

I sort of have to chuckle at all these Trump haters. It's like Q said once, you don't interfere with your enemy when he's destroying himself. The lack of intellectual honesty is being clearly demonstrated. Let's just look at one of Trump's actions. He stood up and said that the US government would make hydroxtchloroquine available to treat coronavirus patients. And the FDA has declared that it is approved for treating the coronavirus. What's so great about that? Between just two doctors, one who used it on 699 patients, and the other used it on 350 patients, they have used in successfully on 1049 patients without a single failure. It has a 100% success rate in curing coronavirus in that large of a sample.

And what are these desperate disinformation agents doing? Spreading one lie after another and claiming Trump could care less about people. Who has been trying to block patients from getting treatment with hydroxycloroquine? Democrat governors. Cuomo is still threatening to jail doctors for treating patients in New York with it. All he wants to do is keep on killing people with his cruelty and trying to convince people it's all Trump's fault.

We are getting a real demonstration of just how far Democrats will go to destroy themselves. If lives weren't at stake I'd laugh out loud at these people exposing who they really are, but it costs the lives of other people for them to demonstrate who they really are deep down inside. That is unutterably sad, but these morons are willing to keep on making other people pay the price.

The only consolation we have, and what they have to dread, is that truth will always out. The more mud and slime people throw at it the brighter it shines and the more they cover themselves with their own mud and slime. Thank God. Eventually they will be hated so badly by the population they are so desperate to abuse to attain to power that they will not be able to walk down the street in peace. And they will have earned their reward.
