The Trump administration can withhold millions of dollars in law enforcement grants to force states to cooperate with U.S. immigration enforcement, a federal appeals court in New York ruled Wednesday in a decision that conflicted with three other federal appeals courts.

The ruling by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan overturned a lower court's decision ordering the administration to release funding to New York City and seven states — New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts, Virginia,l and Rhode Island.

Trump just won an abortion case in the 9th circuit and now this case in the 2nd circuit. He sure is winning a lot. Who is tired of winning yet.

The Trump administration was dealt a victory on Wednesday when a federal Appeals Court upheld its decision to withhold grant money from so-called "sanctuary" cities and states.

Seven states sued the government after a 2017 decision led by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to deny grant money from the Department of Justice for law enforcement to cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

Why would this President and his supporters expect that these "liberals" in sanctuary cities should demonstrate more respect for the rulings of the Courts than Trump has done when he receives an adverse decision with which he disagrees?

This President's own hand-picked Attorney General has even gone public stating that Trump's interference with the federal legal system has made it impossible for him to do his job!

Given that despite the AG's request, this President has continued to demonstrate a lack of confidence in the judicial system - why should others be expected to have any confidence in the integrity of these decisions should the courts rule against them?
