SUMMARY:

Bob Enyart talks through the reality of hell, what Jesus said about eternal punishment, and how, from Gethsemane, we can know that there is no other way. And for more on why Pope Francis is heading to somewhere he thinks doesn't exist, see www.kgov.com/pope.

Pope Denies Hell; Now In It

The pope did not deny the existence of hell; that was a purposeful mistranslated paraphrase by a malicious atheist.

This is a perfect example of people pushing "news" rather than facts. Minimal investigation demonstrates the "popes denial" as falsehood.

Can you supply ANY facts to back up your accusation/assertion?

There was no accusation; simply facts stated. But sure, I can provide some:

The journalist was a 93 year old atheist, with a history of "misquoting." (This was his fifth time claiming the Pope spoke heresy, if I am not mistaken)

There was no interview.

Now, if you ask me, the Pope should not be meeting continuously with someone who demonstrates a history of intentional misquotation, but that is just me. I also wouldn't eat with tax collectors, though.

Now, you can believe that the pope did say such things, absent of fact or evidence. That is your right. However, it would demonstrate a preference for falsehood in light of knowledge. This is why I wait until any story has died down; media and journalists want to be first to report a story (absent of fact), rather than report truths. Fake news truly, and sadly, abounds in this age of technology and social media.
