:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

Make a joyful shout to the LORD…come before His presence with singing.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.

Psalm 100:1-2, 4
Stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening.
1 Chronicles 23:30

:poly:

In The Morning I Will Rise

In the morning I will raise to my God the voice of praise;
With His kind protection blest, sweet and deep has been my rest.
In the morning I will pray for His blessing on the day;
What this day shall be my lot, light or darkness, I know not.

Should it be with clouds o’ercast, clouds of sorrow gathering fast,
Thou, who givest light divine, shine with me, Lord, O shine.
Show me, if I tempted be, how to find all strength in Thee,
And a perfect triumph win over every bosom sin.

Keep my feet from secret snares, keep my eyes, O God, from tears,
Every step Thy grace attend, and my soul from death defend.
Then when fall the shades of night, all within shall still be light;
Thou wilt spread peace around, gently as the evening dews.

:poly:

You shall hide them in the secret of Your presence.
Psalm 31:20

In the Secret of His Presence

In the secret of His presence how my soul delights to hide!
Oh, how precious are the lessons which I learn at Jesus’ side!
Earthly cares can never vex me, neither trials lay me low;
For when Satan comes to tempt me, to the secret place I go,
To the secret place I go.

Evening Praise the Lord.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

And may You hear the supplications of Your servant and of Your people…when they pray.
Hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.

2 Chronicles 6:21

:poly:

When the Weary, Seeking Rest

When the weary, seeking rest, to Thy goodness flee;
And the heavy laden cast all their load on Thee;
Or the troubled, seeking peace, on Thy name shall call;
And the child, with grave fresh lip, youth, or maiden fair,
Or the aged, weak and grey, seek Thy face in prayer;
And the widow weeps to Thee, sad and lone and low;
If the orphan brings to Thee all his orphan woe…

When the stranger asks a home, all his toils to end;
And the hungry craveth food, and the poor a friend;
If the soldier on the field lifts his heart to Thee;
And the man of toil and care, in the city crowd,
When the shepherd on the moor, names the name of God;
And the learned and the high tired of earthly fame,
Upon higher joys intent, name the blessed name…

If the worldling, sick at heart, lifts his soul above;
Or the prodigal looks back to his Father’s love;
And the proud man, in his pride, stoops to seek Thy face;
Or the burdened brings his guilt to Thy throne of grace,
We ask Thee hear in love, O Lord, from Thy dwelling place on high.
Hear in love, O Lord, our cry, from Thy glorious dwelling place on high,
Yes, in Heav’n, Thy glorious dwelling place on high.

:poly:

A rest to the people of God.
Hebrews 4:9

There is Rest for the Weary

In the Christian’s home in glory there remains a land of rest;
There my Savior’s gone before me, to fulfill my soul’s request.
There is rest for the weary, there is rest for you.
On the other side of Jordan, in the sweet fields of Eden,
Where the tree of life is blooming, there is rest for you.

Praise the Lord!

I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter.

:poly:

The Comforter Has Come

O spread the tidings ’round, wherever man is found,
Wherever human hearts and human woes abound;
Let ev’ry Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound:
The Comforter has come!

The long, long night is past, the morning breaks at last,
And hushed the dreadful wail and fury of the blast,
As o’er the golden hills the day advances fast!
The Comforter has come!

Lo, the great King of kings, with healing in His wings,
To ev’ry captive soul a full deliverance brings;
And through the vacant cells the song of triumph rings;
The Comforter has come!

O boundless love divine! How shall this tongue of mine
To wond’ring mortals tell the matchless grace divine
That I, a child of hell, should in His image shine!
The Comforter has come!

Sing till the echoes fly above the vaulted sky,
And all the saints above to all below reply,
In strains of endless love, the song that ne’er will die:
The Comforter has come!

The Comforter has come, the Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from Heav’n, the Father’s promise giv’n;
O spread the tidings ’round, wherever man is found
The Comforter has come!

:poly:

...He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever.

He Abides

I’m rejoicing night and day as I walk the narrow way,
For the hand of God in all my life I see, and the reason of my bliss,
Yes, the secret all is this: That the Comforter abides with me.
He abides, yes, He abides, hallelujah, He abides with me!
I’m rejoicing night and day as I walk the narrow way,
For the Comforter abides with me, hallelujah, He Abides with me!

Praise the Lord!

Those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever.
Deuteronomy 29:29

:poly:

Sunday Morning Praise

O God, Great Father, Lord, and King!

O God, great Father, Lord and king!
Our children unto Thee we bring;
And strong in faith, and hope, and love,
We dare Thy steadfast Word to prove.

Thy covenant kindness did of old
Our fathers and their seed enfold;
That ancient promise standeth sure,
And shall while heaven and earth endure.

Look down upon us while we pray,
And visit us in grace today;
These little ones in mercy take
And make them Thine for Jesus’ sake.

While they the outward sign receive,
Wilt Thou Thy Holy Spirit give,
And keep and help them by Thy power
In every hard and trying hour.

Guide Thou their feet in holy ways:
Shine on them through the darkest days;
Uphold them till their life be past,
And bring them all to Heaven at last.

:poly:

Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Psalm 90:1

Our God, Our Help in Ages Past

Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home.
Under the shadow of Thy throne Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone, and our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood, or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God, to endless years the same.
Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while troubles last, and our eternal home.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

Romans 11:33

:poly:

Beloved, “It is Well!”

Beloved, “It is well!”
God’s ways are always right,
And perfect love is o’er them all
Tho’ far above our sight.

Beloved, “It is well!”
Tho’ deep and sore the smart,
The hand that wounds knows how to bind
And heal the broken heart.

Beloved, “It is well!”
Tho’ sorrow clouds our way,
’Twill only make the joy more dear
That ushers in the day.

Beloved, “It is well!”
The path that Jesus trod,
Tho’ rough and strait and dark it be,
Leads home to Heav’n and God.

:poly:

The Spirit Itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Romans 8:16

It is Real!

O how well do I remember how I doubted day by day,
For I did not know for certain that my sins were washed away.
When the Spirit tried to tell me, I would not the truth receive;
I endeavored to be happy and to make myself believe.
So the truth would make me happy and the light would clearly shine,
And the Spirit gave assurance that I’m His and He is mine.
But it’s real, yes it’s real! O I know it’s real!
Praise God, the doubts are settled, for I know, I know it’s real!

Praise the Lord!

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all you lands.
Psalm 100:1

:poly:

Sing to the Lord With Joyful Voice

Sing to the Lord with joyful voice,
Let every land His name adore;
Let every isle send forth the noise
Across the ocean to the shore.
Let nations stand before His throne
With solemn fear, with sacred joy;
Know that the Lord is God alone;
He can create and He destroy.

His sovereign power, without our aid,
Made us of clay and formed us men;
And when, like wandering sheep, we strayed,
He brought us to His fold again.
We are His people, we His care,
Our souls and all our mortal frame:
What lasting honors shall we rear,
Almighty Maker, to Thy name?

We’ll crowd Thy gates with thankful songs,
High as the heav’ns our voices raise;
And earth with her ten thousand tongues
Shall fill Thy courts with sounding praise.
Wide as the world is Thy command,
Vast as eternity Thy love!
Firm as a rock Thy truth must stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move.

:poly:

Serve the Lord with gladness.
Psalm 100:2

O Serve the Lord

O serve the Lord with gladness, and come before His throne;
He is the great Creator, and He is God alone;
The heavens declare His glory, the earth His power displays;
While millions without number to Him glad anthems raise.
O serve the Lord with gladness, and come before His throne;
He is our great Redeemer, and He is God alone.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High sShall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.”

Psalm 91:1-2

:poly:

The Shadows of the Evening Hours

The shadows of the evening hours fall from the darkening sky;
Upon the fragrance of the flowers the dews of evening lie;
Before Thy throne, O Lord of Heav’n, we kneel at close of day;
Look on Thy children from on high, and hear us while we pray.

The sorrows of Thy servants, Lord, O do not now despise,
But let the incense of our prayers before Thy mercy rise.
The brightness of the coming night upon the darkness rolls;
With hopes of future glory, chase the shadows from our souls.

Slowly the rays of daylight fade, so fade within our heart
The hopes in earthly love and joy, that one by one depart.
Slowly the bright stars, one by one, within the heavens shine:
Give us, O Lord, fresh hopes in Heaven, and trust in things divine.

Let peace, O Lord, Thy peace, O God, upon our souls descend;
From midnight fears and perils, now our trembling hearts defend.
Give us a respite from our toil; calm and subdue our woes.
Through the long day we labor, Lord, O give us now repose.

:poly:

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.
Psalm 91:5

As Twilight Softly Falls

Dear Lord, as twilight softly falls, and nature sinks to rest,
Let now Thy blessed peace descend and soothe the troubled breast;
As gently fades the light of day, and shades of night appear,
Our longing hearts to Thee we bring, O heav’nly Father, hear!
Forgive the word, the thought unjust, the kindly deed undone;
O, may for us a better day rise with tomorrow’s sun!
Lend us the strength we sorely need, be Thou our steadfast guide,
And may we now and evermore, cling closely to Thy side.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 23:1
God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

:poly:

Just When I Need Him Most

Just when I need Him, Jesus is near,
Just when I falter, just when I fear;
Ready to help me, ready to cheer,
Just when I need Him most.

Just when I need Him, Jesus is true,
Never forsaking all the way through;
Giving for burdens pleasures anew,
Just when I need Him most.

Just when I need Him, Jesus is strong,
Bearing my burdens all the day long;
For all my sorrow giving a song,
Just when I need Him most.

Just when I need Him, He is my all,
Answering when upon Him I call;
Tenderly watching lest I should fall,
Just when I need Him most.

:poly:

The peace of God, which passes all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

Peace Will I Give

Fresh as the dewdrops falling after the heat of day,
Sweet as the perfume rising up from the new-mown hay,
So to the aching spirit, bidding its sorrow cease,
Cometh the unseen Presence, bearing the gift of peace.
“Peace will I give, peace will I give,” Jesus His peace will give.

Praise the Lord!

The hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27

:poly:

The Glorious Hope

There’s a glorious hope thrilling Christian souls today,
And our hearts beat high as in faith we watch and pray,
Looking unto Him who shall call His own away
To the glory over yonder.

As we wait for Him, daily watching and in prayer,
What a peace He gives, what a joy beyond compare;
Just a foretaste here of the rapture we will share
In the glory over yonder.

Is your heart at rest? Have you given all to God?
Are you fully cleansed in the Savior’s precious blood?
Are you walking now in the path that Jesus trod
To the glory over yonder?

In the glory over yonder,
We shall meet Him by and by,
We shall greet Him in the sky;
Praising Him in love and wonder,
In the glory over yonder.

:poly:

Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.
Luke 24:29

Tarry With Me

Tarry with me, O my Savior, in my heart and life abide,
Keep me by Thy grace and favor, ever near Thy loving side.
Tarry with me, O my Savior, in Thy presence let me rest,
Thou dost know my life and longings, Thou wilt give me what is best.
Tarry with me, O my Savior, for I long to have Thee nigh;
By Thy Spirit guide and guard me, till I reach my home on high.

Praise the Lord!

As your days, so shall your strength be.
Deuteronomy 33:25

:poly:

Day by Day

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best—
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day, the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He whose name is Counselor and Power;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,
This the pledge to me He made.

Help me then, in every tribulation
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E’er to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.

:poly:

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.
Colossians 2:6

Step by Step

’Tis so sweet to walk with Jesus, step by step and day by day;
Stepping in His very footprints, walking with Him all the way.
’Tis so safe to walk with Jesus, leaning hard upon His arm,
Following closely where He leads us, none can hurt and naught can harm.
Jesus keep me closer closer, step by step and day by day;
Stepping in Thy very footprints walking with Thee all the way.
Step by step, step by step, I would walk with Jesus,
All the day, all the way, keeping step with Jesus.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

Because you have kept the word of My patience,
I also will keep you from the hour of temptation.

Revelation 3:10

:poly:

Hour by Hour

Hour by hour we trust in Jesus,
Hour by hour for strength we pray;
Hour by hour the sands are dropping
From the glass of time away.

Hour by hour we hear a warning
From the spirit-voice within;
Hour by hour we meet the tempter,
Hour by hour we fall or win.

Hour by hour we journey onward,
Hour by hour we stem the tide;
Hour by hour we miss the dear ones,
Anchored on the other side.

Hour by hour the heart grows fainter,
Hour by hour the sunlight dies;
Hour by hour we near the portals
Of our home beyond the skies.

We are going home where the pure and blest
In perfect peace with Jesus free from care shall rest;
Then let us go on with a happy, happy song;
O soon we’ll rest on yonder shore, rest forevermore.

:poly:

I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:20

Moment by Moment

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine; living with Jesus, a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine, moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
Never a trial that He is not there, never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share, Moment by moment, I’m under His care.
Moment by moment I’m kept in His love; moment by moment I’ve life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine; moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Yes, he is altogether lovely.
Song 5:16

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious.
1 Peter 2:7

:poly:

Never Forget

Never forget that the Savior is near,
Asking if thou wilt receive Him.
He will protect from all danger and fear
Those who love, trust and believe Him.

Never forget that the Master is near,
All of thy life He is viewing;
How doth the record before Him appear,
Art thou His precepts pursuing?

Never forget the good Shepherd is near,
Faithfully leading and guiding,
Turn not away, lest His voice thou shalt hear,
Tenderly pleading and chiding.

Never forget the Redeemer is near,
Nor the dear ransom once given.
If we obey, love, and honor Him here,
We shall dwell with Him in Heaven.

Never forget, never forget,
Jesus is near, O receive Him.
He will come in, cleanse from all sin;
Cheerfully trust and believe Him.

You are my hiding place.
Psalm 32:7
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1

:poly:

Now Let Us Come Before Him

Now let us come before Him, with song and prayer adore Him,
Who to our life hath given all needed strength from Heaven.
The stream of years is flowing, and we are onward going,
From old to new surviving and by His mercy thriving.

In woe we often languish and pass through times of anguish,
Of wars and trepidation alarming every nation.
As mothers watch are keeping o’er children who are sleeping,
Their fear and grief assuaging when angry storms are waging.

So God His own is shielding and help to them is yielding.
When need and woe distress them, His loving arms caress them.
O Thou who dost not slumber, remove what would encumber
Our work, which prospers never unless Thou bless it ever.

:poly:

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 23:6
Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, just as we hope in You.
Psalm 33:22

O God of Mercy

O God of mercy, hear us, our Father, be Thou near us;
Mid crosses and in sadness be Thou our fount of gladness.
To all who bow before Thee and for Thy grace implore Thee,
Oh, grant Thy benediction and patience in affliction.
Be Thou a Helper speedy to all the poor and needy,
To all forlorn a Father, and Thine erring children gather.
Be with the sick and ailing, their Comforter unfailing;
Dispelling grief and sadness, oh, give them joy and gladness!

Praise the Lord!

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.
Psalm 25:4

:poly:

Grace and Truth Shall Mark the Way

Grace and truth shall mark the way where the Lord His own will lead,
If His Word they still obey and His testimonies heed.
For Thy name’s sake hear Thou me, for Thy mercy, Lord, I wait;
Pardon my iniquity, for my sin is very great.

He who walks in godly fear in the path of truth shall go;
Peace shall be his portion here, and his sons all good shall know.
They that fear and love the Lord shall Jehovah’s friendship know;
He will grace to them accord, and His faithful covenant show.

Ever are my longing eyes on the Lord, whose watchful care,
When my foes their plots devise, keeps my feet from every snare.
Turn to me, Thy grace impart, I am desolate indeed;
Great the troubles of my heart; save Thou me, O Lord, I plead.

Look on mine afflicted state, freely all my sins forgive;
Mark my foes, their cruel hate; keep my soul and let me live.
Shame me not; I hide in Thee; truth and right preserve me still;
Mark Thy people, Lord my God, save Thou from every ill.

:poly:

Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me.
Psalm 25:5

Look Upon Us, Blessed Lord

Look upon us, blessed Lord, take our wandering thoughts and guide us;
We have come to hear Thy Word, with Thy teaching now provide us,
That, from earth’s distractions turning, we Thy message may be learning.
Brightness of the Father’s face, light of light, from God proceeding,
Make us ready in this place; ear and heart await Thy leading.
Fill with life and inspiration every prayer and meditation.

Praise the Lord!

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1
He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.
Psalm 91:4

:poly:

Now Rest Beneath Night’s Shadow

Now rest beneath night’s shadow the woodland, field, and meadow,
The world in slumber lies, but Thou, my heart, awake thee,
To prayer and song betake thee, let praise to thy creator rise.
The radiant sun hath vanished, His golden rays are banished
By night, the foe of day — but Christ, the sun of gladness,
Dispelling all my sadness, within my heart holds constant sway.

The rule of day is over and shining jewels cover
The heaven’s boundless blue, thus I shall shine in heaven,
Where crowns of gold are given to all who faithful prove and true.
To rest my body hasteth, aside its garments casteth,
Types of mortality, these I put off and ponder
How Christ will give me yonder a robe of glorious majesty.

Lord Jesus, who dost love me, oh, spread Thy wings above me
And shield me from alarm, though evil would assail me,
Thy mercy will not fail me: I rest in Thy protecting arm.
My loved ones, rest securely, for God this night will surely
From peril guard your heads — sweet slumbers may He send you,
And bid His hosts attend you and through the night watch o’er your beds.

:poly:

God my maker, who gives songs in the night.
Job 35:10

Songs in the Night

When the clouds of affliction have gathered,
And hidden each star from my sight,
I know if I turn to my Father,
Sweetest songs, sweetest songs,
Sweetest songs He will give in the night,
Oh, how precious the songs in the night!
Yes, my heart runneth over,
For the songs He doth send in the night.

Not I, but Christ.
Galatians 2:20

:poly:

Not I, But Christ

Not I, but Christ…
Be honored, loved, exalted; be seen be known, be heard;
In every look and action, in every thought and word.

Not I, but Christ…
To gently soothe in sorrow, to wipe the falling tear;
To lift the weary burden, not I, but Christ, to hush away all fear.

Not I but Christ...
No idle words e’er falling, no needless bustling sound;
No self important bearing, no trace of I be found.

Not I, but Christ…
My every need supplying, my strength and health to be;
For body, soul, and spirit, here and eternally.

Christ, only Christ…
Ere long will fill my vision, glory excelling soon, full soon I’ll see,
Christ, only Christ, my every wish fulfilling — Christ, my all in all to be.

O to be saved from myself, dear Lord,
O to be lost in Thee, that it might be no more I,
But Christ, that lives in me.

:poly:

Christ hath made us free.
Galatians 5:1

He Set Me Free

My soul is filled with joy and gladness
Since Jesus came to me.
His love has banished all my sadness,
From sin I am set free.
He set me free, He set me free,
I was blind, but hallelujah, now I see!
I shall ne’er forget the day
When He washed my sins away,
And He set, He set me free.

Praise the Lord!

Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.

Psalm 91:9-10

:poly:

Because Thy Trust is God Alone

Because thy trust is God alone,
Thy refuge is the Highest One;
No evil shall upon thee come,
Nor plague approach thy guarded home.
Angelic guards at His commands
Will bear thee safely in their hands,
Will keep thee, lest, if left alone,
Thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Though fierce and treacherous foes assail,
Their power and wrath shall not prevail;
Their cruel strength, their venomed spite,
Thou shalt o’ercome with conquering might.
Because on Me he set his love,
I will his constant Savior prove,
And since to him My name is known,
I will exalt him as Mine own.

As oft as he shall call me on Me,
Most gracious shall My answer be;
I will be with him in distress,
And in his trouble I will bless.
Complete deliverance I will give,
And honor him while he shall live;
Abundant life I will bestow,
To him My full salvation show.

:poly:

He shall give His angels charge over you.
Psalm 91:11

Till the Morning Light

Angels guard you till the morning light;
Let no fearful dreams distress you,
But with peaceful slumber bless you,
Hov’ring round and ever near you,
Sent from Heav’n to bless and cheer you,
Till the morning, the morning light!
Thro’ the long and dreary hours of night,

Praise the Lord!

I will sing and give praise.
Psalm 108:1

Sunday Morning Praise

Singing for Jesus! Praising His Name!

Singing for Jesus! praising His name! Gladly our tongues we employ;
holiest service, loftiest aim, purest of earthly joy.
Blow, ye breezes, gently blow; spread our anthem far and wide:
Jesus all the world must know: He for all was crucified.

Praying to Jesus! lowly we bow! Weeping, our sins we confess;
Faithful the promise! sacred the vow! Jesus is waiting to bless.
Hear in Heaven Thy dwelling place: send the answer far and wide:
He who freely gave His grace, He for all was crucified.

Working for Jesus! striving to save children from sorrow and sin!
Helping the helpless! freeing the slave! Striving a heaven to win!
Aid us, brothers, sisters, all; send the tidings far and wide:
Jesus saves from sin and domination; He for all was crucified.

Resting with Jesus! labor is o’er, stilled are the rough waves of strife;
Angels sing welcome to the blest shore, death does but lead us to life.
Children, raise anew your songs; send the echoes far and wide,
Rest in Christ, ye weary throngs: He for all was crucified.

Great is Your love, higher than the heavens.

Psalm 108:4

Thou Hidden Love of God

Thou hidden Love of God, whose height,
Whose depth unfathomed no one knows,
I see from far Thy beauteous light,
And only sigh for Thy settled rest;
My heart is pained, nor can it be
At rest, till it finds rest in Thee.
Each moment draw from earth away
My heart that lowly waits Thy call;
Speak to my inmost soul and say,
“I am thy love, thy God, thy all!”
To feel Thy power, to hear Thy voice,
To taste Thy love, be all my choice.

Praise the Lord! Amen! and Amen!

Evening Praise the Lord

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

You will not fear the terror of night.
Psalm 91:5

:poly:

Now Rest Beneath Night’s Shadow

Now rest beneath night’s shadow the woodland, field, and meadow,
The world in slumber lies, but Thou, my heart, awake thee,
To prayer and song betake thee; let praise to thy creator rise.
The radiant sun hath vanished, His golden rays are banished
By night, the foe of day, but Christ, the sun of gladness,
Dispelling all my sadness, within my heart holds constant sway.

The rule of day is over and shining jewels cover
The heaven’s boundless blue, thus I shall shine in heaven,
Where crowns of gold are given to all who faithful prove and true.
To rest my body hasteth, aside its garments casteth,
Types of mortality; these I put off and ponder
How Christ will give me yonder a robe of glorious majesty.

Lord Jesus, who dost love me, oh, spread Thy wings above me
And shield me from alarm, though evil would assail me,
Thy mercy will not fail me: I rest in Thy protecting arm.
My loved ones, rest securely, for God this night will surely
From peril guard your heads; sweet slumbers may He send you
And bid His hosts attend you and through the night watch o’er your beds.

He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalm 91:11

Softly Sighs the Breath of Evening

Softly sighs the breath of evening, stealing through the shadowy grove,
While the stars, in heaven shining, keep their silent watch above.
Heav’nly Father, while we’re sleeping, send Thy guardian angels bright,
Faithful watch above us keeping, to protect us through the night.
When the morning, gently breaking, tints the sky with golden rays,
May Thy loving children, waking, sing their heav’nly Father’s praise.

Praise the Lord!

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised.
Psalm 48:1
O LORD, how great are Your works!
Psalm 92:5

:poly:

How Great Thou Art

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:

And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, “My God, how great thou art!”

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!

It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.

Psalm 92:1

How Good it is to Thank the Lord

How good it is to thank the Lord, and praise to Thee, Most High, accord,
To show Thy love with morning light, and tell Thy faithfulness each night;
Yea, good it is Thy praise to sing, and all our sweetest music bring.
O Lord, with joy my heart expands, before the wonders of Thy hands;
The righteous man shall flourish well, and in the house of God shall dwell;
He shall be like a goodly tree, and all his life shall fruitful be;
For righteous is the Lord and just, He is my Rock, in Him I trust.
