I got the biggest laugh out of my mom, yesterday. She was talking to a friend in California, telling her about my sister's plan to run for president of the United States in 2012. The funny thing was that my mom called my sister "uber-conservative." When I started laughing, my mom didn't understand why.

Well, for one, my sister is very definitely pro-choice. She's against welfare, except in her case. She thinks that the state "owes her the welfare she's getting." But, everyone else on welfare are lazy slobs, according to my sister. She's against the death penalty, for any reason. She believes that homeschooling and most religious private schools should be outlawed. She believes that no one should be allowed to own a gun unless they go through psychological testing and criminal background checks. And, even then, she said that only police and military should own guns. Conservative? I think not. :nono:

I explained all of this to my mom and she said that because my sister's against welfare, she's conservative. I asked my mom, "If you think L's an uber-conservative, what does that make me? A Nazi?" She had no answer to that. But, I'm anti-abortion/pro-death penalty. I believe that, if people receive welfare at all, they should work picking up trash off the highways or cleaning public parks or something of the like for the benefits. I believe that the public school system should be shut down at the national level and, if re-opened at all, should be run by parents, teachers, and corporate sponsors. I'm a huge supporter of parents' choice when it comes to educating their children. I believe that, since the criminals already have guns, people should be allowed to own guns to protect themselves or to hunt or just to recreationally target shoot. I believe that any elected official should not be paid the huge salaries that they get right now. If they're federally elected, give them transportation to Washington, DC, a home while there (basically room and board), free postal services for work-related mailings. That's it. I also think that they should get six months to prove that they're up to the job. If, after six months, they haven't made any progress in passing laws, they should be booted out of Washington. I believe that the IRS is not a legitimate legal entity. I believe that everyone should have the same tax rate (If you make $10,000 a year, you pay $1,000 a year in taxes. If you make $1,000,000 a year, you pay $100,000 a year in taxes.

My mom thinks my sister's a conservative? Bah! Don't make me laugh. I make most conservative politicians look like ultra left-leaning communists.
