All the evidence suggests that Trump really didn't want to be president; he was clearly unprepared for it. The WH became a joke until someone finally came in and straightened things up a little.

As one of friends suggested, it hasn't been good for his mental health; he's showing more and more signs of confusion, including slurred speech, shorter working days, and his own admission that he often doesn't know what his own administration is doing.

Can't remember a republican president getting this much criticism from his own party. His own speaker of the house described his behavior as "textbook racism." Democrats are calling for his impeachment.

Doesn't sound like tremendous respect to me. Respect would have translated to getting his agenda done. And the only thing he's succeeded at, is the thing the establishment republicans wanted him to do.

The GOP's idea of respect is flattering Trump in such a manner that they can pass their agenda. They will stop protecting him when he is no longer useful. Insofar as the *claim* from the OP (Best President Ever), history will judge him, and it will not be kind.

Donald Trump has replaced James Buchanan as America's worst president!

Trump - Is He The Best President Ever?

Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan and Warren Harding can all rest easier in their graves, secure in the knowledge that Donald J. Trump has emerged as, unquestionably, the worst American president in history!

See that folks? Lil barb's first 4 words are a lie. No"evidence" of Trump wanting to be POTUS. He announced, he ran, and he defeated all primary contenders and then wiped the floor with Hillary. All evidence.

President Trump didn’t want to win the presidential election because he thought, if he lost, his family would have bigger opportunities ahead, according to an excerpt from a new book detailing his first year in office.

“This is bigger than I ever dreamed of,” Trump told former head of Fox News Roger Ailes a week before the election, according to author Michael Wolff. “I don’t think about losing, because it isn’t losing. We’ve totally won.”

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/t...fer-untold-opportunities-book/article/2644849

So, on June 16th of last year, he rode down his golden escalator and opened his mouth. With no campaign staff, no 50-state campaign infrastructure — neither of which he needed because, remember, this wasn’t going to be a real campaign — and with no prepared script, he went off the rails at his kick-off press conference, calling Mexicans “rapists” and “drug dealers” and pledging to build a wall to keep them all out. Jaws in the room were agape. His comments were so offensive, NBC, far from offering him a bigger paycheck, immediately fired him with this terse statement: “Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.” NBC said it was also canceling the beauty pageants owned by Trump: Miss USA and Miss Universe. BOOM.

Trump was stunned. So much for the art of the deal. He never expected this, but he stuck to his plan anyway to increase his “value” in the eyes of the other networks by showing them how many millions of Americans wanted Him to be their Leader. He knew, of course (and the people he trusted also told him) that there was no way he was actually going to win many (if any) of the primaries, and he certainly would not become the Republican nominee, and NEVER would he EVER be the President of the United States. Of course not! Nor would he want to be! The job of being President is WORK and BORING and you have to live in the GHETTO of Washington, DC, in a SMALL 200-yr. old house that’s damp and dreary and has only TWO floors! A “second floor” is not a penthouse! But none of this was a worry, as “Trump for President” was only a ruse that was going to last a few months.

In an open letter to voters supporting Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, the former communications director of Trump’s now-defunct Super PAC said that the former reality television star not only never expected to be the Republican nominee, much less president, but never even wanted to be.

Writing for the website xojane.com, Stephanie Cegielski said that when she was brought aboard as communications director for the Make America Great Again PAC last summer, the instructions from Trump Tower were to make sure that Trump finished a respectable second in the GOP primary. It was made clear that Trump was running not as a serious contender, but as a “protest” candidate.

He announced, he ran, and he defeated all primary contenders and then wiped the floor with Hillary.

He got the lowest percentage of the popular vote of any winning presidential candidate. He lost the popular vote by about 3 millions votes. So badly that he made up a story about millions of illegal aliens voting against him. So it was particularly embarrassing as one after another, Trump voters were found to have illegally voted. Even one of his appointees to the faked "voter fraud commission" turned out to have been an illegal voter.

But there you are. From people on his own team. He didn't intend to win, didn't want to win.

I think I read that before in one of your posts. I heard Trump won even though demonrats had large numbers of votes from dead people and illegals. I also heard Trump got 54% of the vote and the distorted media lied. Another little birdie told me that big name powerful people are soon going to jail. Your people. The criminals and traitors, the folks that abused powers. I heard Trump really weighs 260 (from people on his team).

If Trump is the best president we've ever had, then Hitter was the best leader in German history .
No, Trump is not as horrible as Hitler , but he's frighteningly SIMILAR to Hitler in his ruthless demagoguery , incessant lying, fear and hate mongering and total lack of integrity , principles, morals and ethics .
And think about this - Trump is putting the entire world at risk of a nuclear holocaust caused by another megalomaniacal world leader - Kim Jong Un with his recklessly irresponsible rhetoric and posturing . Hitler caused the deaths of millions and millions of innocent people , but Trump has the potential to destroy the entire planet ! If you are not extremely frightened, you are totally out of touch with reality !

Trump - Is He The Best President Ever?

Beyond providing a steady flow of "outrageous" material for late night television, one would be hard pressed to find something positive that "The Donald" has contributed to the Presidency, the nation and/or the world - he's the ultimate "nothing burger!"

So Hillary lost to a guy that didn't even want to win?

Yep.

The story is that Trump thought running and losing would enhance his worth to the network. Instead, when he made his racial rant during his announcement, the network said "You're fired", and cut their relationship with him.

The joke was that he actually got elected. Hence, the floundering around, likely felonies committed and so on. He didn't expect to win.
