Except that they clearly aren't "idiots"

Oh yes they are.

From Webster:

Idiot - "a very stupid or foolish person"

From the Bible:

(Romans 1:22 KJV) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

There is no better verse in the Bible that describes global warming climatologists better than Romans 1:22

Not really:

“It could even be this year or next year but not later than 2015 there won’t be any ice in the Arctic in the summer,” - David Vaughan, Glaciologist & IPCC scientist, 2012
{...}
Why do you keep believing idiots who are wrong 100% of the time?

I just gave you a quote from a link you posted to an article published in 2011 which states that according to IPCC projections, Arctic ice "will remain in place until the 2030s". The fact that David Vaughan apparently decided to break ranks in 2012 and come up with his own extreme projection of no ice by 2015 is therefore not the IPCC's fault.

Which is just as stupid as the quotes from 2007 that predicted Arctic ice would be gone in 2015

It's no secret that the same people who claim the polar ice is melting have no faith in God.

93 percent of the members of the National Academy of Sciences are atheists.

"Larson and Witham claimed that their survey of elite scientists "“found near universal rejection of the transcendent.”" - Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion.

Bill Maher claimed that 93% of scientists in the US are atheists.

Except that they clearly aren't "idiots" (that's just you being offensive), and they aren't "wrong all the time." Yes, a number of them have made extreme weather predictions that thankfully haven't come true, but I gave you an example of a paper published in the journal Science in August 1981 that turned out to be largely accurate in its projections for the future.

The problem is, the things they might have gotten right do not justify the insane scaremongering and demands for billions of dollars.

...Dyson expressed his despair at the current scientific obsession with climate change which he says is “not a scientific mystery but a human mystery. How does it happen that a whole generation of scientific experts is blind to the obvious facts.”

This mystery, says Dyson, can only partly be explained in terms of follow the money. Also to blame, he believes, is a kind of collective yearning for apocalyptic doom.

I was talking with an astronomer who said there are two significant things happening with the earth in space that must-necessarily create climate change. First, He said our poles are not stationary and never have been. The North Pole is slowly tilting toward the sun, he said, which necessarily will produce a shift in our climates. He also explained the Earth's moon is orbiting further away from our planet by a half an inch a year, which will make the tides from the global shift less severe.

The bottom line in his thinking: Only the sun and moon can make the kinds of global-dramatic changes we are seeing, so only God can be in control of its condition, thus ensuing effects: Therefore, what we are seeing is a result of cosmic changes, not man-made ones.

Surely this astronomer friend is aware that these changes are gradual and not matching the timing of currently observed warming?

He said it is coincidal, but the tilt is indeed pointing the top half toward the sun right now and will continue in that direction to more dramatically affect our planet in extreme weather and shifts. He reminded me that the sun is millions/billions of times more potent than any nuclear explosion or emissions impact that we as tiny humans on the planet cannot even touch. He made a lot of sense.

Yes - imagine that - the sun and the moon can impact the climate on earth. Yes, he did make a lot of sense.

Anything that even remotely makes news (and even a lot of things that would never make the news) is used to try to swing public opinion into a state of fear so that people will spend money on whatever to try to avoid the rush to buy whatever they fear will be out-of-stock come the Zombie Apocalypse or whatever. The planet is warming up, but it is out of our hands and not due to 'greenhouse gasses' as people have been hoodwinked into believing.

The current trend for the Earth's tilt and orbit is towards cooling the climate. See here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milankovitch_cycles
