[GZ Mosque Builders Apply for $5 Million From 9/11 Rebuilding Fund US "a staggering lack of empathy"] "Developers behind the controversial Ground Zero Mosque are trying to secure $5 million from a federal fund dedicated to rebuilding Lower Manhattan after 9/11, the Daily Beast reports.

The fund contains taxpayer dollars, the report says, and those behind the mosque are trying to secure that money through a “community and cultural enhancement” grant..." Full text

Anyone want to explain to me how serpent is different from the Muslim jihadists who want to stop Christians from building churches in Muslim countries?

Fortunately, Americans seem to be a lot less inclined to join her in that jihad.

It is not a Mosque and it is not at ground zero. The area it is in is full of porno shops etc.
The community center is Sufi. Shittes and Sunnies have bombed and terrorized the Sufi's because they are not fundamentalists and even welcome other religions and ideas. Opposing the community center is saying yes to Islamic extremists.
Unfortunately, a loony blogger started this whole thing. At first even the right wing ignored her insanity. Unfortunately, they realized the stories ability to generate political gain for them and the story took off.

Ironically, serpent is working hand in hand with Al Quaeda on this issue; they are attacking Sufis, too:

As adherents to Saudi-financed Wahhabism and the similar South Asian Deobandi form of Muslim fundamentalism, the terrorists have long proclaimed their hatred of the Sufis, whom they condemn for praying at the graves of Muslim saints. In the perverse ideology of the radicals, this traditional Islamic devotion represents a deviation from strict monotheism, and, allegedly, too closely resembles Christian worship of Jesus.

You're supporting both the right wing and Islamist jihads. It makes sense; they both have the same worldview.

Strawman/poisoning the well I do not work with Al Qaeda.

On this issue you are. They hate Sufis, too.

I have not argued for an attack against Sufis.

Granted, you haven't openly called for terrorist attacks on them as Al Qaeda has, but you have falsely equated them to terrorists, and denounced their peaceful intentions. You are what is known as a "useful fool" to the terrorists.

Strawman. I do not agree with Al Qaeda. I do not hate Sufis. Because we love our enemies, we tell them the truth (Luke 6:27, 35).
"...[Y]ou haven't openly called for terrorist attacks on them [Safis] as Al Qaeda has, but you have falsely equated them to terrorists..."
Proof please. :peach:

How about the virgin birth. :smokie: Was Jesus literally born of a virgin? Luke 1:26–35.

I like them Sufis. Were I a New Yorker, I'd be proud to have'em.

Sufis are muzzies, yup. But they're the good muzzies, y'know, the civilized and moderate ones. The co-worker you have coffee with, the guy selling you a Kebab, the guy teaching Arabic in a college somewhere... They pretty much keep to themselves, do their stuff, and live quiet lives.

As opposed to the bad muzzies who want to ban beer and cover our women, and stone adulterers and kill infidels. Y'know

We shouldn't be antagonizing the good muzzies. They're allies against the bad muzzies. (Hint: Extremist muzzies pester them as much, or worse, as they pester us.)
