The Recorded Atrocities of John Calvin

You like to glory in the fact that there are some bad apples.

Jesus said that it would be this way, Matthew 10:17.

Sure, they all got it wrong so far, but wait--one of these days you guys will get it right. Honest.:chuckle:

And that bad apple excuse has always made me wonder: Where were all the "good" apples while all these bad apples were running around? What, do the good guys just hide and wait and bide their time? When it comes to hangings, burnings, lynchings, and the rest of the "bad apples," where did all the good guys go?

Thanks but no thanks. Giving zealots power anywhere has never ended well, and this country's long history of religious lunacy doesn't tell me any different.

No doubt about it Calvinism is very complicated.
No, rather that which we hold dear is more than easy believism, easy grace.

That is why there are over 700,000 English words used to convey God's special revelation to us, hence 2 Cor 10:5. Then again, why would you even care, Robert? After all, according to you the Scripture "was never intended to be a book to live by".

Salvation always has been and always will be by grace through faith.

In the Old Testament they believed in God's promise of a savior and were justified by faith, Romans 4:1-3.

How much faith does God require to justify a lost sinner? How about as much as mustard seed? Matthew 17:20.

If there are 700,000 words to reveal God,s special revelation to us, it appears they you are going to try and use all of them.

It is NOT words that reveal the things of God to us, its the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 2:10, 11.
