No one with a functional brain takes anything Ted Nugent says seriously. The man is a testosterone-addled, type-A moron. Yet years ago I saw him do something amazing on some obscure reality TV show involving a house full of heavy metal rock musicians. I don't recall the name or the point of the show, but Ted Negent was one of the participants.
One of the other participants, I don't recall his name, either, was clearly 'hitting bottom' in a drug and alcohol addiction while the show progressed, and was in serious trouble. And Ted (being a recovered addict/alcoholic, himself) stepped in to help the guy. And I have to say he was masterful at it. He knew how and when to be kind, and how and when to be brutally honest with the guy. And in the end he helped the guy into a recovery program.
